Background

Antidrek ('real' name: Vansum Inoue) has been fully adopted into the Inoue family after his marriage to Asuna.

He grew up abandoned in Everett (his mother was a shadowrunner who died on a job). After her death he managed to sneak into the Inoue enclave where Asuna found him, and helped him; they became the best childhood friends. Eventually Asuna's father, Yuske, found out about him. Thanks to Asuna's request, he allowed Vansum to stay in the family shrine and allowed Asuna to give him cheap soy food so he could survive.

At the time, Yuske did not like Vansum and feared Asuna would fall in love with him, but after Vansum lost an arm saving her from a kidnapping attempt, his attitude changed. Asuna did fall in love with Vansum, and as Yuske can rarely deny his daughter what she wants, as she reminds him of his dead enchanter wife, he allowed the two to marry Yuske used his influence within Mitsuhama Computer Technologies (MCT) to get Vansum a limited corporate SIN - a relatively easy task as Vansum grew up to be a fairly gifted magician, and while not Japanese himself, growing up in the Inoue houshold makes him a compatible gaijin.

Vansum has been working for MCT for 5 years now, wanting to pay back Yuske for the cyberarm he gave him - Yuske says he has now done so. Two years ago, Asuna gave birth to a healthy elven daughter they named Raven; she is currently the only child they have. As Asuna is Yuske's only child, Raven has become the heir of the Inoue family, and is loved by all, even Yuske.

Vansum has tired of his low level wageslave lifestyle and has been consorting with Contact 4 who gave him a forged SIN with the promise to sell him more should he want them. Vansum now thinks it is a good time to try his hand at shadowrunning, and has talked Asuna into allowing him - provided she gets to pick the jobs as his fixer.

Antidrek went bald at a surprisingly young age. He almost always wears an armored fedora hat (helmet) to cover his baldness, and wears a nicely maintained armor jacket that looks more like a suit jacket (thanks to his Fashion spell and fashion design knowledge). Indeed he manages to maintain a fairly dapper look despite his technically squatter lifestyle.
