Overview

The 9-5 is a tight-knit militia of pilots and freelancers that place value on teamwork, camaraderie, and standing up for the downtrodden. Few exemplify this like Commander Bear Gates. They live and breath for the 9-5 and its members, taking pride in their accomplishments and treating the organization like their own family. As a field commander, they act casually and crass, but are highly encouraging of pilots while keeping them focused on the mission.

Gates is the trendsetter of the 9-5, the faction typically sharing their personal beliefs. As exemplified by the 9-5's practices, they pride themselves on their principles and ideals; they will turn down contracts that they do not personally agree with or otherwise infringe on their rights and beliefs. That said, they find most common ground with the Neo Anarchist's cause: they believe the UCAS should be liberated and free from the Corporations and their oppression. They insist on going about things their own way, however, free from the Neo-Anarchists and with their own ideas of how to win independence from the Corporations.

Vehicles	Militias can't march everywhere anymore, and Commander Bear recognizes this. Transport vehicles of all kinds are needed to pull off operations against heavily armed corporate sites.
Walker	Bear specializes in Walker vehicles, preferring them for their versatility when being used to raid a corporate site.
Firearms	Bear has made a number of friends that would be happy to sell them the weapons they need to continue the good fight.
Heavy Weapons	Bear understands that a militia needs to well armed in order to fight the powers that be. They always make sure to keep supply lines open from bringing the big guns on site, from HMGs to Missiles.
Augmentations	The commander recognized that augmentations are the difference between life and death if their team was hit on the field. They've made connections to outfit the 9-5 with the augments they need to keep up.
Cyberware	Of all the augmentations, Cyberware is the easiest to steal from the corporations and stash away hidden for safe keeping. Bear makes sure to keep cyberware clean of tags and ready for quick installation.
