This job went as smooth as it could have possibly gone. It's the kind of mission I used to silently hope for when I was still in the corps. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get to shoot much of anything, and I wish I could have at least finished off that cool looking shark, but the expenses were low and the pay was pretty good for the job so who am I to complain?

"My luck with spirits wasn't great this run but I got lucky in the end. I'm a bit disappointed I didn't really get to fight other than knocking one poor sap out while she was sleeping, but hey, money is money. Got chased by some shark...drones? They looked strong, I want to actually fight one next time. Hamilton drives a real fast boat, so the ride was fun at least."

Uncle only let me drive his boat a couple times, and that was before I could become the machine. The plan was simple. Bring in the fog, have the spirit conceal up, yoink the woman and bounce. I was not ready to feel the kick in the gut from a 12 on the Dumas Scale spell to knock out a near sleeping dwarf non-combatant. My boss got us a nightrunner for 2,500, small price to pay to keep us alive because bio-drone sharks popped out of the water and nearly clipped us. I had to step on the gas and push that nightrunner to its limit. And the coast guard pulled up on us, they weren't expecting the party boat suit wearing drive not to be drunk, but professionals don't drink on the job.

Summary

The team extracted some talent from an offshore facility that didn't belong to a major corp. With excellent stealth they were able to pull up right next to an open window, capture the target with minimal resistance, and escape. There was a brief chase involving cybersharks, but nobody (except one of the sharks) was injured. The coast guard pulled them over before they got to shore, but believed the cover story of being late night party goers and let the team go without much fuss.

Background

The runners received a call for a job, and were told to go to the meeting spot in tacoma.

The Meet

The J met with the team in a fish bar, and had himself a snack during the conversation. He detailed some information about the run, and the requirements for it. There werent enough seats and nobody wanted to sit next to the J, so we all pulled up chairs.

The Plan

We got a boat on loan, and did some reconnaissance during the day. After colelcting information on security, we approached under cover from a storm made by a spirit with maximum stealth.

The Run

On our approach we found the window to the targets room was open. We rolled up, hopped in, knocked her unconscious and made our escape in only a few seconds. Some light pursuit from cybersharks almost damaged the boat but our rigger narrowly dodged their surprise attack from below. Before getting to port the coast guard pulled us over, but believed our cover story of "party people on a speed boat" and let us go after checking the BAC of our pilot.

Aftermath

We delivered the mostly okay extraction target to the J at the agreed upon meeting point, collected our pay, and ignored the shady van she got loaded into.
