I thought I was eager to get things done, until I met Lucky. Now, I know what eager means! Pulling in one direction without getting the buy-in from the team seems like a good way to waste time. It was fun though and we did have a week to complete the job.

Getting to know and working with Funk was great experience. Learned more about my commlink than in 10 weeks of night school. Thanks Funk!

Lovely to see Nearl again! I haven't been thinking about Patty since Nearl and I did the job at the religious camp. And that's a very good thing.

Poor Funk got bullied by dice today. He did good, but roll20 openly rolling just bullied his techno.

Summary

A competitor to a current niche e-celebrity, both working for Horizon hires the runners to take out his competition. The runners succeed after properly doing legwork.

Background

Bro Tier God, a toxic popular streamer has been leading the streams in an MMO called BIG GUNZ ONLINE. With 4k+ Concurrent streams at all times with plenty of sponsors. The competitor was in second place and hired the runners to take out Bro Tier God. With him gone, the new streamer will take his place and make plenty of money.

The Meet

The meet was at a temporary r1 host the Johnson had ordered sculpted to look like a beach. The runners were offered 20k Nuyen each.

The Plan

The runners went through multiple plans and eventually through decided to hit a low security sponsorship building. Which as a gaming wet wipes corporation would give them access to secure data that wasn't available normally through searches.

The Run

After stacking up in stuffershack with plenty of goods, the runners masked up, magiced up and went in hot to a B zone barely staffed office building. They hit the security terminals which were air gapped, got plenty of paydata and their target's data. They then stole plenty of wet wipes on their way out.

After doing several hours of planning and legwork after, the runners managed to get the schedule of the target and saw that he was leaving his high security neighborhood. The runners quickly ambushed said streamer, killed him and then ex-fil safely.

Aftermath

The barber is scarred for life, watching his favorite customer he has had for over a decade die in front of him brutally. The bodyguard, having been knocked out wakes up with police questioning him as to what happened. The runners get paid and the streamer competitor soon fills the gap.
