The previous [[SysOp]] in Seattle trusted [[Holly Nicholson]], a KSAF reporter, with his life. Thus, when he got a bunch of really hot paydata after geeking Brackhaven Investments United Corporate Council Representative William Roger then searching his datachips, Holly was set to be the person who got a message if the sysop was geeked. Sadly, the old sysop was geeked by NullNode runners hired by Brackhaven's agents.
The events of GM DrBurst's Plot Line [[Run This Town]] have made things uncomfortable for ex-runners and retired criminals living in Touristville.

The meet was a relatively uneventful discussion with [[SysOp TANJ]] in a Stuffer Shack until an employee, [[Carlos David]] slipped and fell. This created a background count with temporally confused the astrally perceiving [[Echo]] who started to believed the Stuffer Shack was filled with Blood Mages and Dragons (due to a critical glitch). While this was happening, [[Phantom]] provided first aid then, after she came to her senses, [[Echo]] casted heal on the Stuffer Shack employee.
The meet was a relatively straightforward interaction with a geriatric Ork, who was born Human some 80+ years ago, and needed help moving to a retirement home deep in the Redmond Barrens. The price was agreed upon up front in about 4 seconds, at which point the elderly employer gestured over his shoulder to get the runners to help shift some heavy furniture.

[[Echo]] first called her contact, [[Mirage]], in order to set up a meeting to explain the situation to [[Holly Nicholson]]. The team convinced Holly that the data she had connecting the [[Arch-Conservative Party]] to [[Operation Daybreak]] was real, her life was endangered by various factions and she needed to publish this information. They arranged to pick her and contacted [[Septu]] who arranged a safe house in the basement of [[Max's Ironworks]] in Auburn.
[[Barbarian]] first attempted to convince their employer that he could perhaps straighten out the issues with KE with the aid of some violence, an offer the elderly Ork declined. They then proceeded to manhandle some furniture through the doorway and into the back of the Ork's pick-up truck, predating grid-guide or even self-driving cars, and quite possibly even predating the current millennium.

The team drove to a downtown Soybucks where they encountered a gathering of the rollerblading/political activist gang [[Enduring Resistance]] where an Ares Global Media photographer was secretly recording Holly's involvement with the gang. Luckily, [[Phantom]] bricked the reporter's camera, avoiding tieing the team to Holly. Then a KE car started following them, as Holly was under surveillance. Phantom forced the cop car to pull over via hacking.
The team navigated the Barrens with little difficulty, save for an improvised roadblock by a small group of gangers hoping to score some new (or at least working) wheels. It did not go well for the gangers, but some of them were left alive.

Once at the safe house, Holly started calling other political parties to get comments on the story which alerted these factions to here actions. Ares Global Media launched their smear stories against Holly before she could publish. Then the [[NullNode]] runners [[Tide]], [[Snap]], [[Callous]] and [[Ruthless]] captured 17 [[Enduring Resistance]] members and called Holly. The team stood stonefaced and Holly slowly realized that is was the story or her friend. Since these runners were mandated to ensure the story got published, her friends were dead. [[Echo]] pushed away Dolphins pleads to help those in need. A few hours later, the shocking story got published on KSAF.

while the story was damaging to Brackhaven and the [[Arch-Conservative Party]], it was reduced to a mere inconvenience by the successful smear campaign by Ares, instead of causing a black eye to Brackhaven's party. However, the results of this run have people in Seattle asking questions and started to the chain of events that would lead to Brackhaven's fall.
The Ork was a retired shadow-worker, and settled into Sunrise Apartments quite comfortably. The Apartments are filled with other ex-runners and former criminals who have retired due to age, and are considered neutral ground by almost all runners, gangers, and criminals of all stripes as most of them are grandparents or mentors of younger, more active runners and criminals, and the last thing you want to do is let the mafia find out that there were bullets flying near their grandparents and they were coming from your gun. The Ork let the other tenants know how polite and helpful the runners were, and word trickled down to the grand kids and proteges of the various elderly residents.

Background

The events of GM DrBurst's Plot Line Run This Town have made things uncomfortable for ex-runners and retired criminals living in Touristville.

Meet

The meet was a relatively straightforward interaction with a geriatric Ork, who was born Human some 80+ years ago, and needed help moving to a retirement home deep in the Redmond Barrens. The price was agreed upon up front in about 4 seconds, at which point the elderly employer gestured over his shoulder to get the runners to help shift some heavy furniture.

Run

Barbarian first attempted to convince their employer that he could perhaps straighten out the issues with KE with the aid of some violence, an offer the elderly Ork declined. They then proceeded to manhandle some furniture through the doorway and into the back of the Ork's pick-up truck, predating grid-guide or even self-driving cars, and quite possibly even predating the current millennium.

The team navigated the Barrens with little difficulty, save for an improvised roadblock by a small group of gangers hoping to score some new (or at least working) wheels. It did not go well for the gangers, but some of them were left alive.

Once at the Home, a lovely place called Sunrise Apartments, some porters took over the unloading of the truck, the employer (who had been driving, not trusting these young whippersnappers with his truck) payed them with credsticks and settled in.

Aftermath
