Character Information

Summary

Paragon is a mage, an elf, and someone who probably breaks into buildings. They are a little bit frail too.

((I write short stories and post them in ParagonSs for this particular character, but most of them are outdated.))

Goals

[WIP] Paragon has come to the running scene in Seattle after an especially grueling trek from CAS Territory. They have came from Evo-Technologies

Paragon appears to be in the business of Shadowrunning for the acquirement of currency in the form of Nuyen, Corporate Scrip, Gold Bars and incredibly valuable transorbital materials not found on Earth; These valuable objects are intended to be used for the furtherment of her own personal skills as a mage that requires funding as well as the acquirement proper living standards fit for her, including the possibilities of travel and meditation for further enlightenment into the high initiations of the Sixth World. It's also the only real option she has; She knows nothing else that can sustain her without getting sniffed out by bounty hunters.

This Shadow runner is also interested in striking back against a corporation for personally wronging her, as well as the fact that said corporation has placed a significant bounty for her retrieval.

Paragon has been subtly looking for ways of strengthening their own bodies frail immune system. to this end they practice herbal supplements and similar therapies of varying effects; this is nothing more then a partial motion at best. She has largely never really attempted to fix herself, viewing it as a pointless endeavor without help from something far more powerful than herself.

Background

Paragon was born in or ended up in an Spinradical bio-lab at a very young age. There they lived, for a long while. Something about Paragon's body chemistry (be it from sheer random chance or a genetic lineage). Regardless, they are wanted by Spinrad for escaping a Bio/cybernetics development Laboratory held under a subsidiary of the corporation. The exact nature of whether or not they were born "in-house" or picked up is still ambiguous to Paragon.

Paragons was severely impacted by the sterile environment they lived in, along with the schedule of medications they took as a child due to complications in the lab procedure. When they left the lab "amicably" they were very unsuited to shadowrunning in terms of their general health. It isn't uncommon to see Paragon sick with one malady or another, but she is much better since the first time Paragon went into a UCAS brand slum-town.

A shadow-running team had helped her out of the site on the side of breaching the lab for their goal, and had taken in the young lass because it seemed a little cruel to do otherwise, not to mention the fact that she had awoken right during that time. A self-proclaimed "father figure", the on-site director was severely displeased at the aspect of losing their (adopted?) child and has put down the nuyen down the necessary channels to put a bounty on an individual named "Valis Europa" that happens to match Paragons description.

The name Paragon is an in-joke to the shadowrunner group. They did not separate happily.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Compromised Immune System: During her formative years, the combination of a very sterile environment along with the battery of immunosuppression regimens among other semi-experimental chemical therapies and procedures based upon the unique aspects of her DNA has resulted in a severely compromised immune system. Paragon cannot breath unfiltered air. Paragon is forced to constantly wear a respirator or at minimum a sterile mask under the risk of an allergic reaction that may degenerate with time. Although her condition has stabilized after the terrible couple of months after leaving the laboratory, it may still come up with a surprise.

She would normally carry a few spare respirators and similar equipment at her house for emergencies. Ares with low pollution or high air purity is pleasant to Paragon. She even carries a little card that neatly pegs her symptoms to some type of pollution induced asthma.

Wanted: There is a standing bounty for the capture of Paragon. The bounty was created by the same lab that she lived in, a Spinradical subsidiary. This bounty is to the tune of 50,000. This is due to her unique biological composition and the amount of work they put down raising her for their science experiment, as well as the fact that another corporation could snatch it up for cutting-edge biological research. Her intimate knowledge of the lab's procedures and certain parts of its layout doesnt put at ease any of the security officials either.

Run History

By technicality, Paragon has committed to only one Shadow-run with the assistance of four shadowrunners, however that run was not in the local Seattle area.

Paragon owns a full set of "tactical" (Black sweater, off-brown baggy cargo pants, Lockheed Martin Expediter Armored Jacket) clothing for runs, but otherwise is clad in regular, dreary stuff.
