Summary

Paragon is a mage works B&E. Despite knowing nothing about decking, they have this weird intent on disguising themselves as a decker.

Goals

Stop being sick all the time.

Figure out why I was a lab rat for pharmaceutical drek.

Make a bunch of nuyen to run away from my past.

Become a spinradical (if in name) starlet.

Either bury Fire Bringer or become a paragon of virtue.

Not get gunned down by bounty hunters.

Background

Paragon ended up in an Spinradical! bio-lab at a very young age, The exact nature of whether or not Paragon was born "in-house" or picked up is still ambiguous to Paragon. They are wanted by Spinradical industries, mostly to finish their research and to protect corporate secrets that is woven into her physiology; A self proclaimed "father figure", the director of the laboratory has personally taken a primary leadership for this particular bounty collection and will be physically present for any collection, citing the need to see their quote child unquote, a "Valis Europa" of the same description as Paragon returned.

A shadow-running team had helped her out of the site on the side of breaching the lab for a different goal, and had taken in the young lass because it seemed a little cruel to do otherwise, not to mention the fact that she had awoken as a mage during that time. During her new found freedom, the running team found out that Paragons was severely impacted by the sterile environment they lived in, along with the schedule of medications they took as a child due to complications in lab procedure. Even now, her health cannot be described as above and beyond. It isn't uncommon to see Paragon sick with one malady or another. Her formative years resulted in a somewhat competent runner, and ended when a Spinradical sting operation occurred with her runner team. The resulting drag-net which was caused by someone close to Paragon had resulted in the termination or of those she considered her immediate family, as well as the burning of any contacts she had. Paragon has come to the running scene in Seattle after a grueling trek from CAS territory. Perhaps it was luck that she made it this far.

The name Paragon is an in-joke to the shadowrunner group. Paragon was one of the lucky ones. Always had a meal to eat, fellow runners to rely on, always had a cop out from a desolate existence in the slums with her magic, and a way to way to secure her existence with her tainted blood and the goons that had once been her caretakers. A little message to a contact address seared into her memory, and they could take her back, to that sleepy existence she knew so intimately. Paragon prefers to to run because that is how she was taught to use her magic: She had the type of mojo in her head that would be a waste in some corporate slog to the bone. The only reasons she runs in Seattle was because her past caught up to the present, and CAS isn't safe anymore, because it never was.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Compromised Immune System: During her formative years, the combination of a very sterile environment along with the battery of immunosuppression regimens among other semi-experimental chemical therapies and procedures based upon the unique aspects of bodily physiology has resulted in a severely compromised immune system;

Fire-Bringer Mentor Spirit: The greatest, best Mentor spirit in the world, the one that get's really creative and is in practically every trickster god epic ever. Yep, that's the one that Paragon listens too every day like a big fool.

Allergy: Unpolluted air: A deteriating immune system prevents Paragon from breath any air that is even remotely "polluted" without having an allergic reaction. Paragon is forced to constantly wear a respirator or at minimum a sterile mask under the risk of an allergic reaction that may degenerate with continued exposure. This means that paragon cannot take her respirator off without A. holding her breath, or B. being in a "safe" place like the inside of her home or a very well ventilated area. Although her condition has stabilized after a few years, it may still come up with a surprise. She would normally carry a few spare respirators and similar equipment at her house for emergencies. She even carries a little card that neatly pegs her symptoms to some type of pollution-induced asthma.

Wanted: There is a standing bounty for the capture of Paragon. The bounty was created by the same lab that she lived in, a Spinradical subsidiary. This bounty is to the tune of 50,000. This is due to her unique biological composition and the amount of work they put down raising her for their science experiment, as well as the fact that another corporation could snatch it up for their own research. Her intimate knowledge of the lab's procedures and certain parts of its layout doesn't put at ease any of the security officials either.

Appearance

Stands at a full, elfine height of 5 feet 11 inches. her disheveled look look is a hallmark. Paragon is something resembling graceful, if a little slow on the uptake in snap decisions required for being a really good acrobat. probably looks like they have not had a fun last few days, all the time. Paragon has pale white hair that falls just short of her neck.

Clothing

Paragon owns a full set of "tactical" (Black sweater, off-brown baggy cargo pants, Lockheed Martin Expediter Armored Jacket) clothing for runs, but otherwise is clad in dreary stuff, not really having much of any fancy clothing due to her current actualized wealth. (low)

Matrix Persona

A sort of clumsy reflection of Paragon physical look into the Matrix, but with a very high definition set of fiber-optic hair.

Astral Signature

Red, a sort of luminescent idealization of Paragons appearance if you squint and are willing to believe that Paragon is a couple inches taller. Paragon's astral signature has black hair, that falls past her shoulders.
