Overview
Shen Yu has been involved in the Triads since his youth. He started out in Hong Kong where he made a small name for himself serving in the Red Dragons. He was a street kid, but he was found to be very useful at talking to others and getting deals to be made and when they weren't made, skillful with a blade. He was brought into the organization and given enough training to be more effective when dealing with more than street scum. One fight too many, and Shen was removed from the front lines and into the realm of solely social situations, his abilities not able to keep up with the more and more advanced and cybered and magical like those around him. His social grooming did not go to waste, though. The Red Dragons saw an opportunity with the 88s and the Yakuzas fighting each other in Seattle to expand their reach while they were fighting over their honor. They saw it as an opportunity to push back against the Yellow Poles that still existed in Seattle. They sent Shen to help their allies in the Octagons in order to provide more runs and opportunities that better served their interests.
