Summary
Roxxy Sparks's boyfriend/bassist Brick has gone missing right before a big show. Runners are hired to find him, and liberate him from the 405 Hellhounds that were holding him hostage.
Background
Halloweener rockergirl Roxxy Sparks, and her band The Burning Hearts Club, have a gig coming up at the Skeleton. Word on the street is that several talent agents will be in the crowd, so it's important that everything goes perfect. Only issue is that her bassist (and boyfriend but that's much less important) Brick has gone missing after getting into a fight over creative direction and the brutal rehearsal routine Roxxy has mandated.
Brick's ran off with his side piece (a Leather Devil named Duke who Roxxy knows of despite Brick thinking he's being sneaky), lost his commlink at Powerline in one of the bathhouses, and got abducted by 405 Hellhounds after they mistook him from one of Duke's wealthy johns and killed Duke.
Roxxy doesn't know any of this, so she goes looking for runners to find the guy.
The Meet
The runners' contact info is passed along to Roxxy via the job board, and asks them to meet her at the Skeleton. Reed has trouble getting there at first as neither her fixer nor wife want to drive her, but Raytheon is convinced to give her a lift for a modest fee.
An employee at the club tries to tell the runners that the club is closed since it's noon on a Monday, but Roxxy runs him off and lays out the situation. Her and Brick got into a fight last night and he ran off but hasn't turned back up.
Haggling occurs, she offers to give the runners access to some of the explosives and weapons the 'Weeners have gotten their hands on if they do the job, and off the runners go.
The Plan
Trades tracks Brick's commlink and it's located at a sex club in Bellevue called Powerline, but doesn't appear to have been used in the past few hours. Looking through his messages, it looks like he met up with his side piece, a Leather Devil named Duke, at the club to unwind after getting in a fight with Roxxy.
The runners pick up their gear, and Trades also starts hacking Duke's commlink. The location is traced to the side of the 405, and the most recent message was a call for backup after he started being tailed by 405 Hellhounds but the message was undelivered due to Squelching. She also finds some juicy blackmail data on some of Duke's clients as a prostitute, many of whom are local conservative politicians and the like. She sends that data to Norville Craddock, who is happy to store it away for future exploitation.
They drive up to the location, but run into a detour and police roadblock as Knight Errant are guarding some municipal workers tasked with cleaning up the aftermath of a rolling firefight.
After doing some recon with her FlySpy and hacking into the sensor suite of Duke's bike, the runners learn that Duke was killed after being attacked by the rival go gang and Brick was abducted for unknown reasons.
The Run
Trauma uses a spirit to locate Brick, hoping he hasn't been taken too far from the crime scene. The Search power points to a Hellhound controlled trap house in a run down section of Bellevue near the Redmond border, so the crew heads over.
Trades gets spotted while attempting to do more FlySpy recon, gaining little useful info, and a scheme involving showing up at the front door while heavily armed and bullshitting/mind magicking that they've been sent by "the boss" to check out the hideout is pulled. The runners find Brick in the basement, with his jaw broken, and learn that the gang mistakenly thought he was one of Duke's wealthy clients so they wanted to ransom him off once they could find a mind mage to read his mind and learn his identity since he couldn't speak.
More mind magick and bullshitting occurs, and Reed convinces the gang that this is a waste of time and that they should just hand Brick off to them to be dealt with. Trauma and Trades secures the target, Reed spends a little time drinking with the gang to "improve morale", and Brick is returned to Roxxy.
Aftermath
The runners let Brick know that Duke died and offer their sympathies. He's returned to the Skeleton, and Roxxy briefly berates him before saying she'll find someone to get him all patched up before the show tonight.
The runners get paid, and Roxxy's band, The Burnin' Hearts Club, goes on to play their gig as planned, catching the interest of some talent agents in the audience.

Is magic really capable of turning people to mush like that? Reed seemed a little childish, but she tricked the gangers with the flimsiest excuses afterwards. I got to really stretch my matrix muscles and try using my fly spy again. They may have spotted me, but there was no chance of them ever hitting it. I was able to get it out of there and head in with the team to pick up Bricks. I got to hang out with Trauma at the show afterward and drop her and her kit off in Puyallup before heading back to my boat.
