Overview

Doctor Miles Thurston (PhD, ThD) is a well-read arcano-archaeologist and professor of ancient history, who currently runs a small independent lorestore called 'the Rosetta store'. He caters almost exclusively to Old World traditions, such as Olympianism, Norse paganism, Druidism and, his own tradition, the Ancient Egyptian faith. Among the products that he sells are genuine historical relics pilfered from digsites and museum wings, foci and spell forumulae copied from unearthed grimoires and a range of reagents catering to almost any magical tradition of European or Near-Eastern origin.

Dr. Thurston was formerly the curator of the Los Angeles Museum for Historical Antiquities in the PCC, but was forced to leave his place of employment rather abruptly when the Director and the board of trustees discovered that he had been quietly selling a number of magical relics on the side to Awakened customers. Despite his love of knowledge and (once) well-respected academic background, Miles is unrepentant about his actions; as far as he is concerned, magical artifacts do not belong in museums, but rather in the hands of Awakened individuals who can put them to the kind of use that their creators had originally intended. The general public can and should content themselves with being able to examine non-magical replicas.

Miles is quite tall, at 6'5", though his body is starting to catch up with his age. He can be quite absent-minded at times, usually giving off the impression of either being in the middle of something or only partially paying attention to the people he is speaking with.
