''"In a preview of our ongoing series covering the candidates for Metroplex Governor, senior investigative reporter Carly Reeves takes a deep dive into the past in order to look at the man behind the Technocrats latest push for the office - what she has uncovered is already sending waves through the political sphere.''

Who is Harrison Yuvlicht? The question is being asked a lot these days: ask Regency MegaMedia or any of their fine subsidiaries and they'll you that Yuvlicht - CEO of Regency since their acquisition by SpinGlobal in 2077 - is hard-working, dedicated and driven to excel at everything he attempts. But we here at KSAF want you, the voting public, to know who these candidates really are, behind all the scripted speeches and PR consultants - to that end, I've managed to obtain a copy of Mr. Yuvlicht's unpublished memoir "Project for a New American Revolution", from which I'd like to share with you a few choice excerpts.

'''"Why We the People Need a New Revolution"'''

These words open chapter 4 of Yuvlicht's book, which was due to be published in November of 2064 - just before Crash 2.0. In the immediate aftermath Yuvlicht's legal team evidently advised him to rescind publication; ostensibly this was because the country was facing a crisis and it was felt that the press tour around such a release would be in poor taste, but upon reading the work one is inclined to believe that the reason was rather more political in nature. Perhaps it was felt that Mr. Yuvlicht's anecdotes about his chummy relationship with then-Senator Jonathan S. Braddock, and support for the Archconservative's views, may have been somewhat damning to his public image.

A quick reminder for our younger readers - Braddock was implicated in the so-called New Revolution coup attempt, which lead to the death of UCAS President Kyle Haeffner and the attempted assassination of Vice President Nadja Daviar, following Crash 2.0. The senator was killed during the ensuing counterinsurgency by forces under General Angela Colloton's command, and in the aftermath it was discovered that Braddock had deep ties to the terrorist group Alamos 20,000 and had spearheaded an extensive treasonous conspiracy with the goal of reunifying North America under the flag of the United States government.

In his book, Yuvlicht praises Braddock's "vision and foresight", discusses some of his "big ideas about the sort of changes this country needs" and expressing his support of the Archconservative platform. Since the Crash, Yuvlicht has slowly distanced himself from these views - when reached out to for comment on the matter, Yuvlicht claimed that while he stands by his beliefs that "the old American dream has value worth pursuing" and decrying the methods of the New Revolution as "treason is not the way to achieve the goals of unity". While we at KSAF believe that a person's political beliefs can evolve with age, at the risk of editorializing I must say that I find this difficult to swallow after reading the sorts of things he had to say about the direction he wished to see this nation taken in, and the sort of company he once kept.

This reporter isn't the only one to express such skepticism either - an advanced copy of this article was sent to the press secretaries of the rival candidates, who have already released statements condemning Yuvlicht for his associations. In particular, Archconservative candidate Falkner Graves described them as "a shameful stain upon our country's legacy", and has tacitly questioned the Technocrat's patriotism in his usual style.
