Summary
A simple job on a nearly unused office building - protect the safecracker until the vault is open.
Background
The Meet
The meet was waived to save time, but there were surely some epic haggling moments in the meet host.
The Plan
There was no real plan. 'Go here tonight,' the Johnson said, and so they went. 'See what's there,' a canny advisor said, and so they saw. 'Damn, their security sucks,' the team noted, and so they entered.
The Run
-Did background checks for info on the place, found out that this had some nasty security hidden in it if it ever got alerted and that the people there were siting on something big -Valv borrowed a kanmushi to go through the vents and check the place out, found 3 old guards and the noise riddled vault -Dango and Valv worked together to knock out the three guards one by one using narcojet, team moves in to keep em in the closet. Sprout mans cameras, Valv and Dango alternate matrix and drone ops, Thistle and Arete keep flexible for when things go bad -Stupid safecracker comes in, we clear the way and get him started. Takes us opening up doors and making our own power source for it to fucking work -City power guys come around, Dango fakes being a part of construction and they buy it -Squatters break into the place, thistle scares em into being good. -Cleaning lady comes in, she gets bought off with a bigger check -Karen comes in, Dango contemplates murder but veers against it. -at night some punks who want to prank the building try to rappel down but get scared off by Valv's drone as it comes up to get them -next day the second shift guys come around to try and do their shift, they get knocked out too -Protest happens, we let it rock. Cops come by for noise complaints and we fake our way through it with Sprout and Dango -Things seem fine for a while, 48 hours pass, dude is dead though. Valv takes over. -at night as we're finishing it all up, triads are chasing other runners. Firefight breaks out when they crash through. We kill the ones at the front as the other runners handle the ones in their own standoff. We break into the vault, both groups retreat out of the site as KE comes in
Aftermath
The runners escaped cleanly, but the safecracker was dead.
