Background
Stefan Dutko and his twin Ryszard grew up happily in Wroclaw with two loving parents. His father often joked that the two Dutko boys were Poland's future, as Stefan had white fur and his brother red. The twins competed constantly in sports and academics growing up. On November 2nd, 2062, the Martyr's Uprising started, and Stefan ran away to join the Liberation Army, abandoning his aging parents and brother. The two never saw each other again.
Fast forward 13 Years. Stefan has become a shock trooper in the Liberation Army, leading frequent guerrilla raids on Russian troops. He has everything he could hope for: purpose, prestige, and relative prosperity. Then his brother contacts him from Seattle, stating that he is in trouble and needs help. Stefan gets on plane ASAP and heads there. However, during transfer in Paris, he is arrested by French soldiers and locked up. Later, an Ares agent, Fiona Piordetti, visits him in prison and informs him that his brother is dead after stealing Ares corporate secrets. Fiona offers him a deal, tell her everything he knew about Ryszard, and she would lift the trumped-up charges.
5 years later Stefan escapes from prison and travels to Seattle to kill Fiona and find out more about his brother's death. He instead finds Ryszard's preteen son Leon, bouncing around the foster system and failing out of school. He vows to raise Leon as his own, and turns to the shadows as the best place to find money and answers.
Significant Things for Narrative
Career Soldier (Exceptional Att-AGI, Agile Defender, Null Wizard, Mentor Spirit: White Stork (Dragonslayer)): Ever since he was a teenager, war has been the only reality known to Stefan. As such, he has acquired extensive weapons and training. He specialised in leading strike teams against mages.
Fugitive (Vendetta: Fiona Piordetti): After spending half a decade in a French prison, Stefan has had more than enough time to plan his revenge.
Wicked Overdose (Logic 1, Phobia (Mild-Needles) As teenager, Stefan swiped some barbituates and shot them all up at once. When he woke up, he could never focus quite as well, nor could he suppress the revulsion that arose upon seeing other needles.
Lingering Grudge (Prejudiced (Russians-Biased) and (Mages-Radical)): Stefan hated Russians even before he spent 13 years watching his people get killed by them. The loathing of mages, however, he picked up along the way.
