Summary

The Team survives Lagos due to the overwhelming awesomeness of Cyrrel, the Super Squirrel, Elaine the Giant Lioness, Lace Monitor who is totally a Decker, and the sheer unmitigated power of Samael's stress.

The Meet

The team meets at the Pegasus, discussing how Bellerophon wants the team to extract a corporate asset in Lagos, Nigeria, before he can pass off sensitive intelligence.

  • Target worked for Global sandstorm, which is now part of Spinglobal. Merceny, Soldier, seems to have left the company about a week ago with sensitive information. Weapons Specialist, CQC, part of merc group on retainer to Bahrain. Global Bagman.
  • Customs for Lagos, Nigeria: Yoroba local language. Last knoqn location Slums west of the Apapa district. Tamanous affiliates.

The Run

• The team converts over 2k Nuyen into local money and heads towards the slumbs
• Sam shifts to look like a local via False Face, Skin Toner, etc, armor jacket. The team gets out of of the airport for a small fee
• Lace manages to keep the team from running anyone over, navigating the broken and busy streets.
• The team learns that the doctor, Stephenson, is likely in the brothel this time of day.
• Lace and Sam do a quick matrix search for the Clinic, but get set upon by the Onyara, a techno clan that was about to shake them down - though they manage to get out with a minimum of biofeedback.
• The Clinic is guarded by a group of Tamanous Sasabonsam infected ghouls.
• Lace learns that the ghouls are here to collect on a debt from the Doctor. She and Sam break into the clinic, but set off an alarm alerting the Doctor.
• Cyrrel and Elaine manage to sideline the doctor via the Power of Drugs, leading the team to attack the Tamanous ghouls on his behalf in order to gain his assistance (we think).

• The team intimidates the doctor into agreeing to leave with them
• Sam calls the Johnson to arrange a place to sit on the Doctor. Until then, they stuff him in the smuggling compartment.
• The Doctor tells the team that Omar is being held on a ship called the "Puku Anwu Anwu", belonging to members of the Fanti Pirates
• Bellerophon arranges a safe place for the doctor while the team works on the actual extraction.
• Sam pays for the safe house and then he and Lace's flyspy head to the docks to scout the boats. Cyrrel stays with him
  • Large ship, 60 meters long, 3 decks. Crew of 40-60.
    • Reflective paint. Ammo section in front area.
  • 12 on deck - automatics, shotguns, one rocket launcher. Armor jacket to FBA in some cases, piecemeal.
• Lace manages to decode the Doctor's files so we have a rough approximation of his new face.
• Back at the apartment Cyrell is set upon by a mystery man and spirit but makes short work of chopping them to bits with his monowire.
• The team joins back together, gets Cyrrel and the doctor, and gets him to an airport - and laes him to boot.
• The team takes a day to rest, recover, and plan - acquiring a boat.
• Lace creates a distraction for the team infilling, getting the launch
• The team sneaks onto the boat, finding their way to Omar's room and attempting to Narcjet him into unconsciousness. It doesn't work and a quiet brawl breaks out in the cabin.
• The team finally manages to beat the FBR with a pain editor into overflow, stabalizing him, binding him, and hauling him out over Elaine's shoulder.

Aftermath

• One recovered Spinglobal employee, one blown up ship (Thanks, Cyrrel!), and totally no future problems from Tamanous for the team, no sir. None whatsoever.
• Omar Al-Bishara (along with the company secrets in his data lock) is successfully recovered on behalf of Global Sandstorm.
• Dr. Stevenson is extracted from Lagos by Golden Lion Heavy Lift and Transport; he decides on a change of careers and becomes a vet.
• Several Tamanous reps, including a sasabonsam made man and a vampire hatchet man, are killed, with Cyrrel's signature left at the scene (this is probably fine).
