Overview

Kousuke Yamada. Kyodai. Samurai. Business Owner. Family man. Fixer. There are many worlds Kousuke lives in, and all of them are dear to his heart in some manner. His sworn brothers in blood hold his soul and provide him a camaderie and allow him a jocularity he cannot show anywhere else but in the world of Men amongst Men. He is a sworn follower of his Oyabun, another oath sworn in the ceremony of Sakazuki, and thus his Oyabun holds his life. Through his Family he has been graced the chance to be a businessman, and he runs the hostess club in Fairmount he has been assigned with a keen eye and a shrewd mind. This club holds his pride. He is a loving and proud father to two fine young boys, and his wife is a rare beauty in his eyes, and together they hold his heart. And, most importantly to the various runners that frequent Seattle, Kousuke Yamada is a pipeline to the strict, scowling hall of the Kanaga-gumi. It is he (and a few others, but none as often as he) who dispenses out jobs the Gumi cannot handle themselves without losing giri, and thus must abide (his brothers would say suffer) the presence of runners. And to them, he gives his charm and skill.

Though a member of one of the most hardline Old School clans in Seattle, his frequent exposure to the shadows makes him more tolerant than his other, more insulated kin in the gumi. He will not judge (harshly) those who do not conform to the hardline nationalist ideals of Old School Yakuza.

His wife, recently, has been suffering from a chronic illness. With pockets worn bare by her treatment, and an unwillingness to surrender the beauty and love of his life, he has resorted to embezzlement from the Kanaga-gumi to settle his debts. Although hidden thus far, Takashi Kurosawa is hot on his trail, eager to find any opening in their ongoing political game, and has prompted Kousuke Yamada to more aggressively pursue the shategashira's downfall. Bunny Hop has become an unfortunate pawn in their game.

Wife Guy	Kousuke Yamada has a heart, despite his Old School tendencies. Prejudice aside, he believes family is important. If you're coming to him with matters of the family, he will sympathize and help however he can, so long as it does not work against the interests of himself or the Kanaga-gumi.
Word on the Street	He keeps his ear to the ground regarding goings on, hot new runners, and various other street news. His status as the owner of a host club especially leaves him privvy to a lot of sensitive information leaked from the loose lips of drunken fiends out on the town.
Accomplished Businessman	He's not just a slimeball. He runs a legitimately profitable business too, the occasional money laundering aside. He has some small connections into supply lines, night clubs, and various other assorted industries in the Seattle sprawl.

Shadow Assets	He definitely knows people *outside* of the gumi too. If you need connections to the shadows, runners to contract, or hook ups to illicit goods, he might have a leg up.
