Character Information
Summary
Erin is an introvert and shut-in that has always had difficulty understanding and dealing with other people. People are noisy, rough, and messy. And they're always so complicated.
Not like machines. Machines are simple. They always do what they're supposed to. She likes machines a lot more than people.
After being driven from her home by bad people who had a grudge against her parents, machines are the only friends Erin has. She relies on them to help her survive and make a living.
Goals
Get more drones. Get a house. Get safe.
Background
Erin was born to a wealthy family that lived and worked in Ares Macrotechnology. With their position, they had bright hopes of raising up their daughter to be prepared to climb the corporate ladder to a place of prosperity and comfort. Unfortunately, these hopes were dashed early on in Erin's childhood, when it quickly became apparant that there was a deficiency in Erin's frontal lobe that hindered her social abilities.
Her parents sunk substantial amounts of money into tutoring Erin to operate despite her defiency. But while she could mimic normal behavior, she could never really understand it on a comprehensive level, and was thus always an outcast. With no friends to bond with, Erin found comfort in machines, which always acted as they were supposed to and were never so messy as other people.
With how much money Erin's parents poured into her special needs, they left themselves open to business rivals, who exploited an opening and had the Jaynes removed from corporate politics in a hostile takeover of all their assets. All Erin understood of it was one day, her parents loaded into a van and started driving out of their hometown, never to return.
On the streets, the Jaynes were utterly unprepared to deal with a life of poverty. They quickly died to the ravages of the street, leaving Erin with nothing but the van.
