Summary

A short angry snake cat changeling with a chip on its shoulder.

Goals

To pay back those that supported them after it became a changeling. Also to make fat stacks.

Background

Blake was born to a very conservative human family. Its parents worked for Aztechnology. They were human supremacists who would often talk about how the Ork Underground should burn when they felt no one would care would hear. This always grated on Blake but they didn't say anything until they underwent SURGE at age 12. After this their parent's hatred turned towards them so they ran away. Thinking back to all their rants about the OU they decided that it would be a great place to hide since their parents would never be caught dead in the place. There an old retired ork security officer took them in and taught them to fight and survive. A few years into this Blake decided to do some work for the Skraach. Early on there were often accused of being a poser but the sheer zeal they put into any job that they were assured would screw over Humanis led to a build in trust over time. Now they've started Shadowrunning in order to help out the Skraacha and the Underground as a whole. Whether through the pay they receive, the jobs they take, or the violence they commit. And though you'd struggle to get it to admit it, the fat stacks of cash certainly helped push them in that direction.

  • Meret has a balancing tail, retractable claws, the ability to sense electricity like a shark, and an organ in its nose that lets it smell pheromones properly
    • The claws are natural weapon with DV(STR+1)P, AP-1.
    • Electroception lets it roll to detect electrical devices with effect varying on hits.
    • Balancing tail gives a +1 to Balance, Climbing, Gymnastics etc
    • Vomeronasal Organ gives +2 to Perception checks using Smell and +1 to Social Tests so long as it can smell the target. -1 in situations with overwhelming amounts of smell such as large crowds or dumpsters unless wearing a respirator
    • "Rhino Hide" refers to the extra protection that its scales grant it. +3 armor cumulative with worn armor
    • Meretseger has keratin thorns poking through its skin. +1 DV to all unarmed attacks, -1 to all physical tests
• Tough as Nails (phys)
  • Meretseger is a tough bastard who will not go down without a fight - +1 box for Physical Condition
• Agile Defender
  • No matter how tough you are getting hit enough times will put you down. Meretseger has a simple solution: Don't get hit then - Can use Agility in place of Willpower for Full Defense

  • Already had an allergy before the SURGE, somehow it got worse. - -3 on Resistance from Silver
• Changeling
  • Scales, a nocturnal circadian rhythm, strange hair, and powerful scent glands result in a lot of complications for Meret
    • Scales prevent the use of skin based cyberware and Matrix Search Tests get +2
    • Nocturnal makes all mental attributes take -1 during the day
    • Striking Skin Pigmentation adds another +2 to Matrix Search Tests
    • Unusual hair adds +1 to Matrix Search Tests and prevents the use of hair modifications
    • Scent glads give +1 to located Meret by smell and -1 to social tests. Both modifiers are doubled while stressed.
    • Cold blooded gives a -1 to physical tests when the temperature is below 30C. -3 when below 20C, -6 below 10C. Also gives -2 to detect them with thermography or thermosensitivity.
    • Critter Spook gives a -2 to attempt to soothe, control, or pacify critters. In combat critters will target it first.

Appearance

Meretseger is a short angry lizard cat thing with dark green scales and black wire like cords in place of hair. Other noteworthy traits include the long tail trailing behind it and its retractable claws. It has cat ears but they don't seem to do anything more than normal human ears do.

Clothing

It wears an armored jacket and a helmet while on the job and some decent clothes with nice shoes when not.

Matrix Persona

A cheap customizable humanoid with options for animal ears and tusks and what not. It changes the design every few weeks out of boredom.
