Overview
Miss Onyx, real name Hyeon Song, infobroker-turned-fixer who figured out people will trade a lot of things for valuable info.
Hyeon Song is a Korean human who has been on a constant hunt for the secrets of forcing a true Awakening, even in those who have never had a spark and never will. She has been obsessed with magic since a child, and when she never lit the spark on her own, became obsessed more specifically with forging one.
Hyeon moved to Seattle in her late teens to study at Pacific University, and left the university with a veritable rolodex of thaumaturgy nerds, many of whom she still keeps in regular contact with. That, and… well, a frankly hilarious quantity of drug plugs (gotta get that ‘prax), smugglers (lots of illicit stuff that are nonetheless curious to study), and other assorted street-level goons.
Miss Onyx is in her late twenties, but maintains a bubbly, youthful vigor that either endears or annoys everyone she talks to. However, assuming her cheerful personality means she's easily taken advantage of has led to more than one too-clever fool getting a snap-blade to the sternum. She has white hair usually kept in a ponytail, and startlingly dark eyes.
