Overview

Northwind has kept a pretty tight lid on her origins, but she's been floating around the UCAS runner scene for years. Working mainly as a pilot, Northwind ran blockades, smuggled goods, pulled her teammates to safety, and well, sometimes inflicted the opposite. She's a talented rigger, with a proven history of skill and cool thinking under pressure. She's also a rigger who's entirely lost her taste for being shot at. Using startup capital from her jobs and the plethora of connections she'd acquired, Northwind changed her line of work. Now, she sells gear to other riggers, keeping connected and keeping all of her blood where it's supposed to be.

Notes for GMs

• Northwind is pretty terse and businesslike, especially for people she knows little. It can change some at higher loyalties.

• She has a healthy respect for any rigger worth it

• Blatantly thinks that pilots are better than riggers focusing on the ground.

• She's happy to give professional advice if people want it. It's all one community.

• Northwind still flies a lot. She just doesn't do it for J's anymore.

Law of the Skies	Regulations can be flexible across international lines. Riggers can always lose the heat somewhere else. +2 to tests for Restricted or Forbidden Gear.
Need for Speed	With the right tools, the ultimate expression of rigging can be reached. +2 to tests involving rotorcraft, fixed wing aircraft, and VTOLs of speed 5 or greater (can be post speed mods). Additionally, this aspect applies to any drones with jets.
Shady Skies	Northwind has worked in the community for years. She knows a few people. +2 to tests involving smugglers, runners, and vaguely criminal aviators of all types.
Global Network	Aviators have a reach few do. She's met people all around the world, and so have they in turn. It can help sometimes. +2 to tests to find runner-friendly runways, hangars, rigger communities, and international safehouses.
