Summary
A social call gets weird leaving two runners trapped in an unsanctioned Yakuza interrogation room with only their wits and a watcher to save them.

Background
8 weeks ago, Junzo Taneji was dressed down by his Oyabun in San Francisco, and rather than listen that his drug habits, paranoia, and ambitious were outgrowing his clan's boundaries and capacity, he decided that pulling his crew up to Seattle to establish an unsanctioned presence n a new Everett shopping development to use as a fence and front was a good idea.
Meanwhile, Alkali and Rogozhin's friendship continues to ignite.
These paths crossing make an unfortunate evening for everyone.
The Meet
The meet was literally our boys walking into the wrong store where Roz gets made by a store clerk with a syndicate hot version of identity tracking software.
The Plan
It's hard to make plans when you end up getting knock out gassed in a talismonger shop that recently replaced a Pentacles as an outdoor shopping pavilion gets rebranded.
The Run
Alki and Rog found themselves in a large talismonger shop with a bent on the Asiatic but plenty of mage-wear fashions and accessories as well as typical Pablum spell formula.
Rog went in wearing very little in the way of disguise and the clerk (an adept) clocked them immediately as they clocked her as relatively potent for being a shop girl. No one thought the weirder of any of that, however. At least on appearances.
In actuality the girl was smart enough to call the boss, who is a maniac and immediately had her activate one of the stores most intense security measures, locking the shop, shutting the security door and gassing the entire sales floor with Nurostun X. Rog and Alki were discreetly taken to a nearby location where hey woke up an hour-ish later, plas-cuffed to two chairs and wearing mage masks with blinders.
The two quickly realized they had their gear removed and they were locked back to back in a faraday cage.
Alkali summoned a task spirit and quickly found there was an air spirit waiting astral to destroy any spirits that arrived in the chamber. His task spirit just managing to get the mage mask off of him before being astral combatted to death.
Alkali and Roz began using power bolt and ice claw to break their shackles. Finding that every 3 spells that were cast caused the elemental to follow an extended command to gas them if they cast a bunch of magic. Starting with Nausea gas as a warning and escalating to Tear Gas by the third or 4th time it appears to do so.
The Yaks in question were dealing with a delivery at the port in everett and misjudged how long it would take for the magi to wake up, giving them a few hours to work around the spirits strange and specific instructions for watching the room for the night. Even getting the spirit to engage in casual conversation with them to some level using their spirit whisperer vibes.
They would eventually figure out some of the pattern and realize that the spirit was not familiar with ritual casting, and was told to destroy "spirits" not just "astral forms." So Alkali and Rog, once free, combined forces, while drugged and injured to do a watcher ritual to get eyes outside the room.
At this point Rog sends through ward with the watch to Father Midnight to get his vehicle moved to a location the storage compartment necro spirit infused dog carcass so the dog could not make a scene downtown. The boys broke out of the room as the Yakuza were arriving back on deck. Alkali using mind magic to send the air spirit down to start harassing goons. The air spirit started killing goons with engulf and dropping them from heights, allowing Rog's dog to pick up a commlink and let itself into the storage unit.
By the time the boys were out of the room and ready, the Yakuza entered the hall. Alkali's spirit dropping the mage into unconsciousness immediately and Rog's dog tearing thre throat of our Junzo. Alkali held the goons in place until they made a hasty exist, after sterilizing and smudging their torture chamber to leave no trace.
Aftermath
The boys escaped, with Rog a bit more aware of protecting his identity, and both of them having tried mixed tradition rituals under duress, leading to an initiation for both of them.
Junzo was killed, his cousin the mage took the rest of the cell back to San Fransisco to own his cousin's failures and mistakes.
