Summary

Tall and slim, Rufus' blue-grey eyes and sandy brown hair do not make him stand out, Typically wears a long coat and cowboy hat. He is quiet and slow to anger, but when it comes time to act, he acts quickly and decisively.

New to Seattle, and looking for work.

  As far as anyone in his extended family can remember, pretty much everyone has been involved in law enforcement, security or military service, with occasional family member doing fire department or emergency services.

  The most famous member of the Eastwind family was Roy's Grandfather, Ulysses "Uly" Eastwind, who's exploits read like a series of pulp fiction novels. Uly's most famous exploit was killing the beast of black canyon, and saving most of the townsfolk. Recently,  Grandpa was killed while protecting a group of Nuns and children from a ring of Metahuman traffickers.

Following with family tradition, Dustin signed on with Knight Errant in Philadelphia, and ended up on an urban special ops team that specialized in quiet captures of criminal targets. Dustin was the teams muscle and tracker. Dustin earned the nickname "Canis Rufus (Red Wolf), or just "Rufus", because of his enhanced senses, and his tendency to turn his clothes red when entering combat.

On his last operation, the team was tasked with taking in fellow KE guards that were stealing from the company and selling the goods on the black market. The OP went bad, as the guards were connected with a higher up in the organization, and Dustin's team split up and went on the run. The team's handler wiped the records, so they could get away cleanly.

Disillusioned with working for the corps, Dustin left Philly, and headed west to Seattle (where his older brother lives), to start a new career. During the long trip, he spent as much time as possible studying up on Seattle, and its shadow community. He figured that since he was going to be independent with no team of dedicated specialists to cover the who/what/where anymore, he needed to know a lot more about everything.

The long drive from Philly to Seattle was dangerous, and many adventures were had, One of the adventures included saving a Teenage girl named Caroline, from a gang of roaming raiders in the far west UCAS territory. She was a runaway, and needed help, Dustin agreed to teach her the ethics of gun slinging, and how to shoot. After arriving in Seattle, she went off on her own (being an independent sort), but still comes around often to learn more.

Code of Honor, Warriors Code: Will not kill an unarmed person, take lethal action against an opponent who is unaware or unprepared for an attack, or knowingly take an action that could kill someone who is defenseless.

Poor self control: Feels the need to deal with injustices done to others, especially children.

Has an Apprentice that occasionally requires assistance.
