Summary
Akaii Ohtori wanders into Seattle, a stowaway running from their life in far away lands. However, they've been more recently cursed with a cloying free spirit that attacks anyone who gets near him. Given the nature of this, he's asked to wander into the forest, paying someone to smuggle him into the SSC. Part way through he meets KE and accidentally ended up killing multiple KE agents. Or at least, the spirit did. Now, they've run into Marrisa and Red Ribbon whom whish to take them to safety, as they're paid to do.
Background
Akaii is a corporate born kid. They had a life of luxury until he squandered it by running away. Taking what money he could scrounge up, he fled to Seattle to find someone quiet outside of Japan to reside. All this because he had been haunted by a free spirit who he called Rika. Rika, the free spirit, would follow Akaii and confess her love, protect him, and propose to him constantly. He eventually gave in and said yes. Now, Rika stalks him, keeping him 'safe' from 'danger', but in reality ends up harming every person who gets close to him.
Since making a name for himself in Seattle thanks to Rika's haunting and wanton attacks, he gained the ire of YMF-021β Raven, who sought him out to further his own plans of corporate destruction.
The Meet
Red Ribbon and Marrisa had different meets; where Ribbon was contacted by Karen 'Sketch' O'Malley, Marrisa was contacted by Raven himself. Both received info about the gig; Raven wanted the spirit causing the mayhem to himself, asking them to bring the spirit to somewhere where the two could have an accord.
The Plan
The team sought to find Akaii and the spirit in northern Redmond, choosing to sneak and be careful around a potential murderer who had killed multiple people previosuly.
The Run
Red Ribbon and Marrisa investigated the slums, finding multiple bodies from both KE and civilians. Realizing how dangerous the situation was, the duo took extreme caution when approaching the target. However, the plan went awry when Marrisa got close to Akaii. within just a few meters of Akaii, the force 12 free spirit named 'Rika' manifested and attacked Marrisa.
The following battle was manic and furious, a vengeful reaper spirit who was both sentient and smart, choosing to use the surrounding buildings to her advantage, attack the rigger's car, dodging attacks, and making quick, sweeping slashes with its claws and scythe.
Yet, the team got away with only minor damage before they realized that Rika would only attack if they hurt Akaii or got close. Taking a moment to thing about the situation, the team realized they were now tasked with taking Akaii and Rika to a nearby meeting place. The only new caveat; Knight Errant was swarming the city looking for the fallen cops. So now began a desperate game of cat and mouse between the runners and knigt er- - Oh, whats this? Oh, [{Raytheon]] is going on a shooting spree in Redmond? Oh, good.
So, with the reduced heat on the team, they were able to sneak by to find the Johnson and their team, YMF-021β Raven, ADR-303α Falken, and ADF-444γ Morgan, now going by just Raven, Falken, and Morgan. They wanted just Rika, but seeing that Akaii could potentially control Rika, they asked him to join them in taking revenge on the corporations that ruled the world.
And so, the team helped fake the death of Akaii Ohtori, who christened themselves Tohru Okkotsu moving forward.
Aftermath
Red Ribbon learns more about Spriggan's disappearance. Marrisa gets a larger bounty and new colleagues. Akaii changes his name to Tohru Okkotus and starts working with Raven.
