Background
The Augmented Wrestling Entertainment (A.W.E) "Its AWEsome!", is the future of pro-wrestling, brought to you by Horizon. Its pro-wrestling with all the drama but none of the scripted matches. The fights are real and so are the injuries. Fighters don special armor to reduce damage significantly, so instead of a quick and dirty fight, people get a long, entertaining match with fan favorite moves like Sweet chin music, Power bomb, Choke slam and the Boston crab. The occasional cage matches and chair fights are also part of the deal. Fighters are permitted to be augmented with ware or adept powers. Despite looking like a crazy brawling tournament. The league has some rules:
1. F rated gear and ware are banned.
2. Drugs are banned, including those from drug glands.
3. Bone lacing, bone density and any ware or power that permanently turns unarmed damage from stun to physical are banned.
4. Cyberlimbs are allowed only if the fighter wears special gloves that turn unarmed damage from physical to stun. Taking off the gloves during the match is an instant disqualification.
5. No cyber weapons or bioware weapons except striking calluses are allowed.
6. Banned adept powers: Nerve strike, Kiai and Adept spell. Switching killing hands from stun to physical will lead to an instant disqualification if bleeding is observed.
7. Only weapons allowed during a chair match are chairs.
With the new championship league of A.W.E in full swing the long reigning champion, Macho Monster has yet again made to the finals, utterly dominating through the tiers. Macho, a heavily augmented ork has access to the best of betaware bioware, best trainers, best everything and a drek ton of sponsorship. Not to mention his winnings from the matches themselves. Despite this he is reviled as a villain and he is. The Monster is a mean machine both in and out of ring, known for his greed, pride, insolence and controversial statements. Despite being an ork, he is not popular with the ork underground, due to his complete lack of outreach and constant claiming that he's the best that ever was "the cream of the crop". There is no doubt that Macho was indeed not lying and he was the best till date, dominating people during matches with his signature counters, charges and disabling called shots. But there was a new tiger in the ring. The up and coming challenger El Superbeasto had made it to the finals. The troll adept and a disciple of the bear has been winning matches with his own signature of clinches, subduals, throws, counters and drop attacks. But more importantly Superbeasto has been winning over the people's hearts with his charity and outreach, for orphans and the homeless, especially in the ork underground. Rightly named "the people's champion" Superbeasto hails from Aztlan, a traditional masked luchador and is being predicted to be the next champion and as talented if not more than Macho Monster. This has Macho all peeved up, shaking his confidence that he may not be able to beat Superbeasto the old fashioned way of pounding him to the floor of the ring. With the finals scheduled to happen in less than a week at Summer Slam ™, he resorted to some real dirty work, hiring runners make things easy for him
Meet
The meet took place in a Yakuza club, Club Zen in downtown. The runners were asked to come down to the secret basement bunraku parlor. The meeting itself took place in a smoke and incense filled, sleazy massage room where Macho was receiving a massage from a Bunraku doll, while his manager assisted him in the negotiations with the runners. While CAPTAIN FREEFALL was also invited he declined the job and left early. The runners were offered 28,000 nuyen to shame El Superbeasto in public in a supposed bar brawl or something similarly sudden in nature, beating him in a fair fight fight and unmasking him (which is a matter of great shame for luchadors). Alternatively they can dig up some incriminating evidence about him, considering there have been rumors of him being SINless once upon a time. Any nature of public shaming will ruin his goodwill, crush his confidence and scatter his fans. As a result he'll either lose the right to challenge the champion or he'll be so disheartened that it'll be an easy win. Under no circumstances were the runners allowed to kill or maim Superbeasto and the brawl must not look like a targeted assault as it will raise a massive drekstorm.
Run
Lacking a mage or a decker. The team resorted to legwork using their contacts. Kostchtchie, contacted his fixer, who is located in the Ork underground to dig up info on Superbeasto and his manager. His fixer gives him info on where they are staying in Seattle, their general scheduled interviews and confirms the fact that rumors about him being SINless are circulating but there has been no concrete evidence. He also tells Kostchtchie, that El Superbeasto is considered a hero in the ork underground and if he does take him down, he'll be cutting off a bunch of donations from Superbeasto, as his career gets ruined. Ranger disguises herself and infiltrates the Marriot, where the targets were staying while on their Seattle tour. Renting a room she sneaked past the cameras and searched Superbeasto's room in his absence. There she found several prizes and medals from the A.W.E regional championships, but also a medal from winning the Sangre tournament in Aztlan, under the name "Crimson Diabolos". Sangre fights are brutal and if indeed Superbeasto is a former Sangre champion, he has killed several people and a killer has no place in the A.W.E. In fact he could be arrested or at leased expelled from A.W.E if his manslaughter were exposed. She also placed several camera tags in the room, but narrowly managed to escape when housekeeping suddenly showed up, while she was placing the tags. When Superbeasto arrived at night, the cameras were able to take a picture of his face without his mask.
Later that night, Ranger snuck up into Superbeasto's manager's room. Jeremy Clark, a dwarf and an independent manager hired by Superbeasto was sleeping blissfully in his pyajamas when he was suddenly shocked, gagged and tied up like a hog. Kostchtchie, also came into the room to intimidate the shit out of the poor dwarf. Unfortunately, he wasn't so sneaky and his image was captured by the automated cameras. Jeremy's commlink had an encrypted file that look mighty suspicious and when he was finally scared enough to piss on the carpet, Jeremy decided to give up the password. Inside the file was evidence of Superbeasto's bloody past as a Sangre fighter and the fact that he was born poor and SINless. Most of his life, he managed on fake SINs, finally being able to land a real National SIN after a lot of greased palms and pulls. As to why Jeremy was keeping all this info, instead of burning it was unclear. Perhaps it was blackmail material in case Superbeasto went big at the finals, after winning and decided to not give poor Jeremy a raise. In any case, Jeremy, in a last ditch effort, used his datajack to DNI a message to Superbeasto's commlink for help. Moments later, heavy footsteps could be heard, followed by a moment of never ending, tense silence. The furious troll rammed into the door, taking it off its hinges and sending it off like a projectile across the room. Accusing Kostchtchie of villainous acts, he challenged him to a fight, promising a solid ass whopping. He also claimed that he's now changed man. Once he met with the great Bear, he vowed to never kill. He'd rather be a protector than a gruesome murderer. Thus began his journey as a legitimate sportsman, away from the blood pits of Aztlan. To his stupidity in confessing all this, Ranged smartly recorded all this info in her commlink.
After a furious fight, in between which Ranger also jumped in. El Superbeasto did indeed follow through his promise of a solid ass whopping, knocking out Kostchtchie with a power bomb and then turning his fury at Ranger. Ranger played smart and instead of making the suicidal decision of engaging him in combat, she threatened Superbeasto with leaking the info out in the matrix with a push of a button should he lay his hands on her. Fortunately for her, brains is not Superbeasto's strong suit. With no counter to the dirty low blow, he backed away. Ranger brought back Kostchtchie, with a stim patch and lied to Superbeasto that should he pay her money, she'll not leak the information. Superbeasto payed up 12,000 nuyen and reached out to Kostchtchie's honor, asking him to do the right thing, to not ruin a man's career who's legitimately trying to bury his bloody past and working his way up to a good like through hard labor. He also said that should his career die, his outreach and charity programs will also die, hurting, most of all the orks and trolls of the underground and the barrens. Kostchtchie told him he'll not leak the info if Superbeasto promises to donate his winnings through his fixer to the underground to which Superbeasto agreed, he was going to do that anyway. Ranger, however had no intention of doing the right thing, backed up by Raven's suggestion to play the prank of shitting on Superbeasto's career. Meanwhile, footsteps were heard as security started to arrive due to the brawl and the camera footage. Kostchtchie had to push his luck had to get out of the sticky situation while Ranger created a distraction with flashbangs and snuck away. When Ranger arrived in her hotel room, Kostchtchie was already waiting and knocked her out with a punch, deleting the footage and double crossing Macho Monster to do the right thing. He also left the whole 12,000 nuyen with Ranger, refusing to take his share.
Aftermath
Due to the failed efforts of Macho Monster to sabotage Superbeasto's career and due to the successful efforts of Kostchtchie caring more about the community than about money. Summer Slam ™ had a fair match between Macho Monster and El Superbeasto. Sure, Macho had all the money, pricey gym training and expensive ware but it was nothing compared to the people's love, hard work and righteousness. During the electrifying final match, El Superbeasto, pinned Macho for the 3 count and was declared the new A.W.E Universal Champion. Money, fame and corporate sponsorship soon followed, with offers of a Horizon Ltd Corp SIN. Superbeasto continued his charity and as promised, donated his earnings from the match to the ork underground through Kostchtchie's fixer with special thanks to Kostchtchie.

Turns out that Superbeasto guy is a real chump. One solid threat of blackmail and he's immediately defanged, no will to fight and more than willing to pay any ransom price you ask. Probably the least professional run I've ever been on. though. One runner leaves at the meet, the other bails on the main objective after the run is finished and prevents me from finishing it too with a swift sucker punch in the dark. Thankfully, the J understood it wasn't my fault, but I've got an itch in the back of my head that won't get scratched until I can pay that Kostchie back.
