Summary

The Cool Kids are a group of skilled and occasionally egoistical Deckers and Matrix whizzes who spend a lot of time doing anything they can to mess with corporate security, accounts, or anything related to corporations. The rest of their time is spent tinkering with their matrix tech or being freelance hackers mostly for Shadowrunners, but also occasionally work for non-corporate businesses or merchants of smaller scale. Despite the name, members do not have to be within a certain youngish age group, and is just a very generalized and self-absorbed name because members - with no exceptions - consider themselves to be the best Deckers in Seattle and even then each one thinks themselves better than every other member.

Despite their egos and penchant for pranks or condescending remarks, the Cool Kids are actually very skilled and they can be quite amicable and friendly if one comes from the right background, occupation, or side of justice.

Leaders

The Cool Kids have no de facto leader and all members mostly act independently. That said, members will typically assist each other in endeavors and always strive to uphold a few rules made amongst themselves - namely "Always fuck with corpos" and "Never screw with the desperate and downtrodden..... unless they're a corpo." Despite their overall independent activities, the CK will meet on a semi-regular basis for gatherings that happen every other week to update each other one recent shenanigans, Runs, or even swap info and resources.

Background

The Cool Kids began when a group of dissatisfied whiz kids decided to do something about corporate oppression and wanted to build a group that could provide its members assistance and resources for showing the Matrix who's boss. Each member has some reason or another as to why they hate the different major corporations, but they seldom share these reasons with each other let alone any outsiders. There is a known romance between two of its members and they get made fun of by the rest of the group from time to time, but it's all in good fun. While ego and independence are very prominent, each member considers the others friends they'd do anything for - with occasional exceptions.
