In this Metaplot,we explore the situation surrounding an AI with an unusual wish and its methods and ways to fullfill this wish.

Community project proposal

I´d like to open this metaplot up to other GM´s interested in running this story and possible spinoffs and derailments. With this document used as outlined story direction and log for the consequences as base i think we can really get a lot out of this story. If approved, i´d write some more text on how to use a Document or possible other means (input&ideas graciously accepted) to track the events of the story. (notes for GM´s to check and possibly crossreference which are not public.)

  • You as a Gm are allowed to run spinoff runs tied to the Supportive and Side Characters at any time and once the Core story is completed you are allowed to use Star as well.
  • You are allowedto run core story runs as described in the Reference document. In any case please talk to me (XGugulu) before to check in how your idea, timing etc fits into the narrative.
  • You are allowed to make News posts and ic-social Media posts on the Discord which are not tied to the core story. You are allowed to make News posts and ic-social media posts tied to the core story after you´ve checked in with me.

Main Character

Star- Born out of an experiment with a new improved Personafix/BTL Chip, the AI feels as if it is and was truly metahuman. It wishes to become a being of flesh. Out of fear of being used by the corporations it will turn to the shadows for help. It likes Orc-Rock and Mainstream Pop-Music, its favourite food would be Original Italian Pizza, preferably four-seasons. Star also hires middle-men to recruit its team, including a J for Runners.

Supportive Characters

Helen- A young Elf Woman, hired by Star to act as a J. Helen has never worked in the shadows and at first acts solely on the orders from Star but as she becomes more accustomed to the work of a J, she begins to enjoy it and eventually builds up her own little network. By nature Helen is reclusive and overcautious, she doesn't like being at the meets personally but does enjoy the job itself, meaning the chess-like structure, moving of resources and outmaneuvering the opposition. No wonder Helen is a big fan of the C&C games series as well as the latest set of Simulation and other RTS matrix games. Star offered her a job, as Helens nature made it a little harder to get a job before despite her qualities. (Possible Aspects: Mole Expert-Bribes,blackmail,bullets: Helen knows which strings to play to get people to work for her, if they want or not. Finding or creating an Insider in a target group is nothing but strategy. Grand Strategist- Knowing when, where and how much assets you and your enemy move is crucial. Helen knows how the security in a target place works and reacts, therefore she can provide info or gear to give her assets an edge. Ears and Eyes- Specialised Spies will do stakeouts of places, people and Data. You need information that's not usually on the grid? Professional Psychological assessments, as well as background checks on target persons. Goon Squads- Need a distraction? no problem, there are always gangers and desperate people willing to do almost anything for a little cash

“Old Man” Gus- Gus is a Human Decker in his late 30´s, so not old at all. His nickname comes from a leg injury from a bike accident a couple years back, which he survived but his spouse did not, that has him walking with a cane. He lives in the Puyallup barrens, in an old warehouse and all his money went into a Deck back then and since he hasn't been outside his house much, fearing that he will suffer more injuries.Generally speaking he rounds up the “Old Man” painting of himself well with him, his Defiance and the well known phrase “Get lost or i'll show you how well my double barrel works!” However, Star managed to spark his spirits just enough for him to help Star. Mainly a new Leg as well as a new bike. The remote location of his warehouse also helps. (Possible Aspects: Nimble Fingers- Gus is very good at digging up info, in fact so good, treat him as having an Analytical Mind for the purpose of determining research time. Bike Enthusiast- Ya need parts or even a whole new bike? Gus knows where to get mods and bikes. Operations Base- Gus´ warehouse looks like a damn Space control Room from the inside. Against a small fee he will let you use it as Safehouse and Operations base. His warehouse includes top of the line med-equip (only one person at a time tho) and Matrix support gear, as well as a Mechanics shop)

Side Character

Lennart, Sally, Kim, Earl, Sofia and Huey- residents of the same street that Gus's warehouse is located on. Lennart is an orc which works in an Auburn factory to provide for his daughter Kim, the orphan Elven Boy Earl, The dwarven woman “Grandma Sally” (which goes to work herself still, but only part times to watch the children) and her Granddaughter and Grandson, the dwarf twins Sofia and Huey. Generally, the players will be in contact with the kids more than with the adults, given that Lennart is working all the day and Sally mostly stays inside to do chores in the house.

  1. Lennart: Despite him having to travel through half of Seattle every day to get to work and then stay there almost a whole day, he still cares about his daughter, that's all that's left from a Gang war in which his wife got killed. He tries his best to prevent the kids from falling onto the deathtrap that are gangs and dangerous clientele in general. As such, should he find out that the kids talked or god-forbid even did business with runners, he would be very pissed.
  2. Sally: 70 years of age now, Sally was one of the very first dwarfs that were born back in 2011. The Fame that came along with it faded long ago and so she just became another individual amidst millions. The parents of Sofia and Huey were abducted by Humanis just two years ago but all hard work for naught, not even her former fame helped her in advancing the case. So she became a housewife with a part-time job in a small Stuffer shack.
  3. Kim: A 10 year old Orc girl, sworn patron of her friends group, you know the tough girl on the block but secretly more interested in the Matrix and Electronics rather than guns or fighting.
  4. Earl: an 8 year old Elven boy, most talkative and bringer of trouble because of it. And yet also one of the two that solve it right away. All that remains of his parents is a Karambit knife with his Name and Birthday engraved in its handle. Naturally, he has become somewhat used to using the knife and is able to fend for himself or his friends if need be.
  5. Sofia: 9 years of age, Sofia is a mage. Not very strong but enough to provide entertainment or to intimidate. She is shy and only with the backup of the others would show herself to outsiders.
  6. Huey: Sofia's brother and together with Earl the actual defenders of the group. He is amazed by guns and knows where Lennart hides the keys to his gun-locker. When unarmed he mostly watches over Sofia, brawls with Earl or sings the songs of the advertisements. He is very good at singing.
