Overview

The Dweller of the Tunnels, a force 8 earth spirit, wanders the passages and caverns beneath Seattle. Stable in soul and form, they have few material needs, finding happiness in the creations they cultivate and the actions they take. While little known, tales are beginning to spread through the Ork Underground. Travelers sometimes stumble upon their works, softly glowing crystalline structures, each of unique form and expression. On occasion, people lost in the tunnels have been guided out, spreading word of this silent protector.

Runners that have them as a contact are gifted with a shard of one of their crystal creations. By holding it and calling upon their name, the Dweller will hear.

Notes for GMs

  • They will not leave the Underground unless the player has a loyalty of 5 or more.
  • The Dweller, like the earth around them, is stable. They don't have a strong drive to change themself. They have no need for karma.
  • They enjoy gifts of metals and crystals. They incorporate these gifts into themself, melding them with their body. Other gifts, such as reagents can be accepted in certain cases.
  • They don't talk often, but when they do, it comes from the walls around them. Their voice sounds like breaking stones, grinding earth, and steady power.
  • Most of their communication is by broadcasting emotional responses to the area around them, a process that can be felt even by Mundanes, though in small amounts.
  • They makes few judgments, moral or otherwise, but they value people who don't treat them as a lesser being. Additionally, harming the Underground itself or breaking the crystals that they create, doesn't make them happy. Harming those under their protection, well that's even worse.

The Earth Protects The Dweller knows many places of calm in a turbulent world. +2 to Active Tests to find a Safehouse in the Underground.
For Those In Need The Dweller will work to greater heights on a task if it's to save the life of another.
Spirit Nexus Many spirits have passed through the Dweller's halls, and they enjoy interacting with any that take the time to stop. +2 to Knowledge or Networking tests regarding Spirits.
Mage of Crystal and Steel As a free spirit, The Dweller is a full magician and can offer magical services.
