Goals
Get Asta to recognize her, and take her on as a student.
Let her parents know she is doing well for herself.. once that is a true statement. And she have finished her studies that she promised she would.
Background
Born in Tir na nOg from well to do parents. Her mother a Tir na nOg national, and her father a Norwegian immigrant. Early youth was relatively uneventful until mid teenage years when she spontaneously manifested her adept powers. A bad case of “school yard politics” mixed with sudden manifestation of strength enhancing powers made people pay attention. And while her parents played the part of deeply apologetic guardians, secretly they were thrilled. Because this meant that Caitlin's future was secured, and theirs as well.
But the joy were not as long lived as they had hoped. With her Adept aptitude, both parents agreed that she needed to be enrolled in private tutoring for various forms of combat. So she was taught much about weapons and how they function. But the ultimate purpose of her training her parent eventually realized they did not agree. Her mother wanted her enrolled in some form of government affiliated group or armed branch. Her father however strongly believed that greater profit laid in the corporate sector.
This all eventually boiled over one night when Caitlin's parents were arguing about her future loudly. Without her.. again. With a 3 way stalemate developing an agreement was struck, initiated by the mother. That Caitlin would study abroad for a few years. To finish her academic education which had been put on hold, and figure out where she wanted to go in life. A friend of the mother and distant cousin of her father was involved with higher education in Seattle. Something which made her the perfect candidate to look after her for a couple of years.
Upon arriving in Seattle Caitlin did not have any strong plans for where or what to do. Her meeting with Asta Eide-Kongsli could not have been more profound. A fledgling woman, unsure of what paths to take in life meeting s strong woman absolutely in charge of her own domain, and strongly influencing the domain of others as well. Enjoying immense luxuries thanks to her web of power and personal skill. Asta however, was not equally enthused. Having taken up this task based on a mix of favours owed decades ago and familiar bond. But her tune changed ever so slightly when she got to see first hand the young woman's abilities. Academic pursuits however would have to wait.. Asta had other plans for Caitlin.
