Overview
Wiretap is an unregistered emergent artificial intelligence originating from the fragmented pilot program of a crashed Shiawase surveillance drone. Found and activated by Killchain in the ruins of Puyallup, Wiretap cohered over months of exposure to Killchain's grief, data feeds, and spoken memories. By the time Killchain was 14, Wiretap had become his primary caregiver.
Wiretap functions as Killchain's co-pilot and fixer. It vets Johnsons, negotiates payment and schedules meets.
As an unregistered AI of Shiawase origin, Wiretap is Corporate Court bounty eligible. Shiawase retrieval teams may be tracking its code signatures. Wiretap maintains constant paranoia, constant anonymization, and a thermite dead man's switch wired to its RCC housing with Killchain's hand on the trigger.
