Summary
Background
Roxxy Spark's boyfriend Brick slept with a rival ganger rockergirl in the Scatterbrains, by the name of Doodles. Throwing a molotov through her window would be too easy, Roxxy wants the girl to be humiliated, so she uses "borrows" funds from recent drug and BTL sales to hire some professionals to ruin Doodles's life.
The Meet
Metamorphosis's car gets stuck in a pothole on the way to the Jackal's Lantern. Two bums try to rob him, but are ran off by swarms of rats. Rainbow helps get his car moving again in exchange for some fuel and the two head to the bar. Caliban refuses to show up in person, so hacks into a camera in the bar and appears via the trid projector in Rainbow's commlink.
Roxxy is screaming at Brick when the runners show up, but he's sent away so they can talk business. The team assumes she wants the target dead, but making her miserable is the goal for now. After agreeing to the gig, she tells them the little that she knows: That her name is Doodles, that she's in the wizpunk band Whoopie Pie, and that she's part of the Scatterbrains gang. The big things she wants are public humiliation and for her lodge to be trashed.
The Plan
Rainbow bounces between ideas like sleeping with Doodles's mother somehow or just kicking her ass on-stage, but with limited info Caliban starts diving into the Matrix to find information. That takes hours, so Metamorphosis does a quick search and finds out that her band is playing at Dirty Rikki's in Everett that night.
The Run
Aftermath
Roxxy uses the information gathered by Caliban, plus the forged social media post of Doodles's piss-stained rug to release a diss track. Doodles is too busy recovered from having her cybereyes spiked to hell and back, cleaning her ruined apartment, sourcing new magical materials, and trying to repair her social media presence to respond until she's started losing fans.
Between social media posts about the scuffle at Dirty Rikki's and police reports, every runner involved has been exposed enough that Public Awareness starts to grow.
