Summary
Granny Tusk is organising a party for her grandchildren. There are many of them, however. They're also trolls with the appetite to follow. It's five hours from go-time. Enter the runners.
Background
The troll lady loves her grandkids and wants them to have a whale of a time. Organising such a huge get-together is no small feat, however. She needs a little help from her friends… colleagues… Santa's little helpers…
The Meet
Granny Tusk hires Ez-Azael, Orchid, Setter (Kanin) and Sinning Jenny to hit up a bunch of shops. Her list is long and the runners have only less than five hours to get it. They, however, agree that this task is basically a public service, forfeiting pay in exchange for the wizened troll feeling better-disposed towards them.
The Plan
A lot of work happens in a short amount of time. The team splits responsibilities into alcohol, dairy, baked goods, pastries, soyburgers, (soy)meat, (soy)greens, sweets. They find out that no single shop will have enough, on a Sunday afternoon, to make it a single run. Thankfully, where there's a will, there's a way.
The Run
Everyone here is a face, so FoodRun™ continues in vignettes like:
- Convincing Stuffer Shack employees to open for the sake of buying in bulk of a platoon of hungry army veterans, complete with an Ares Roadmaster sent for delivery;
- Honey baking slightly disappointing pies;
- Setter distracting a Skraacha ganger by showing a little more than the clothes' designer intended;
- The burger guy with a menu of toxic levels of capsaicin insisting the team is "Weedy" and "Should put on some meat" (nobody dares disagree);
- Purchasing greens for grilling and snacks for team contacts;
- Creating what looks like the map to purchasing on a Sunday afternoon for a troop of hungry trolls.
Aftermath
The team, after a number of (mis)adventures, is successful in bringing Granny Tusk the goods from her list on time. Nobody even died to the fiery burgers!
Rewards
- 8 Karma (8 RVP)
- 1 Street Cred (1 RVP)
- Granny Tusk (C2/L3) (4 RVP)
- 2 Bonus CDP
Optional:
- Setter may take Good Looking and Knows It (10 RVP)
- Orchid may take 4 Karma instead of Granny Tusk or take 1 RVP out of the others for 5 Loyalty
- Jenny may take Innocuous (5 RVP); mundane ascension
