Zephyr is a plain looking human mage who is always eager to prove himself.

  • find out why his ties to the astral are so strong and figure out the mystery behind the Spirits.

Background

Zephyr (born as Blake Samson) worked for Ares for about 3 years as corporate security mage and in that time, he has defended against threats both astral and physical. One day after his shift a corporate born security mage named Bradley Parrson, whom Zephyr has never met before, accuses him of stealing trade secrets. He has proof to back his claims, access logs, security camera footage, eyewitness accounts, the works. In light of overwhelming evidence, he was relieved of his duties and places under house arrest until they can figure out a time to review the case against Zephyr.


It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that, if the company believed the lies being told to them, then there a good chance that Zephyr’s life was in great danger. He summoned a spirit to help keep watch for threats while he gathered what belongings he could in order to escape. turns out he was luckier than he thought as he narrowly escaped the incoming kill team with the spirit’s aid. He spends the better part of 6 months searching publicly available sources for any insights on the incident but makes zero progress. He also spends some of this time finding a place to live which is better hidden. After months of no progress, Zephyr decides to put his security skills to work breaking into places to hunt for more information. He has some limited success with this and stumbles on to some information that suggests this corporate born mage is involved in some shady dealings.


Another 6 months flash by as the starts to make progress in his investigations as he gets more involved with shadowrunning, not only for the chance to find out the truth of what happened but also because the pay is enough to keep him afloat. It’s not too long afterwards when a message appears on his commlink regarding a membership at the Haven.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

  • Spirit Affinity: Spirit of Air & Spirit Whisperer - Zephyr has no idea why spirits (especially Air spirits) find him so interesting. As it stands it's a grand mystery that one day he'll try to get to the bottom of.
  • Magician: Hermetic - follower of the Hermetic tradition
  • Mentor Spirit (Wolf) - While Zephyr is, as of yet, unsure why the Wolf has taken interest in him. They generally seem to appear just before Zephyr is impacted by a major strife or catastrophe.

Negative

  • SINner (Corporate Limited): Ares - Zephyr's actual name and former address are recorded here as well as employment records, bioscans, resume...etc.
  • Astral Beacon - another grand mystery that Zephyr will try to get to investigating some day.
