Dash is an oddity. Originally from Japan, he entered the exotic pet trade when he was just a kit. Fortunately, he was shipped through the Port of Cape Town, and was caught by Solarian. Raised in the city, he eventually came to work for the lion shifter. Dash is utterly loyal to him, and therefore a perfect agent to use in a far off location.
Were he a more normal human, Dash would be a premier art collector. He'd rub shoulders with all of high society at Galas, Expos, and high profile auctions. He still does these things, of course. But the benefit is that people view his animalistic features as a lack of intelligence and refinement. And that is a mistake that allows him to get away with many things. He also runs part of Solarian's smuggling ring on the side.  


Years of service has done him well. His current posting in Settle is lucrative and entertaining. It's better than the Ice in Russia, or the oppressive oversight in Essen. Seattle is the Wild West, and he loves it.
Dash comfortably walks down art halls, and warehouse aisles, depending on the job and product of the day. He can get you what you need, when you need it. But he's a businessman. Gotta pay for primo service.
