Background

"I was blind and he let me see." Were the reasoning Lincoln gave to S-K when they asked why he followed DEUS.

Born in 2049 Unknown to where he was born, Lincoln was abandonded within Tarislar and raised in an elf orphanage. Eventually running away he found himself starving on the streets before he started to hear voices reach out to him. Then one solid voice that intruscted him how to "see" the matrix around him. With Lincoln following the orders of this voice before it introduced itself as DEUS. While DEUS explained that he was the Deep Resonance and that he was Lincoln's creator. Lincoln spent most of his time working on whatever projects DEUS required of him along with his other otaku. Lincoln went by the name, Dumah.

After the end of the Renraku Shutdown in 2061 Lincoln spent most of his time dealing with other otaku on the matrix. During this time he also attacked several S-K facilities with several other DEUS otaku. Midway through 2063 Lincoln was dealt near fatal biofeedback while fighting other otaku. While resting in bed, Lincoln stopped hearing DEUS' voice or commands. Lincoln even stopped getting word from his fellow otaku, Lincoln was especially becoming worried as he knew many otaku that had experienced fading while Lincoln's power had stayed the same.

Lincoln by this point decided to walk away from the whole situation. Thinking that either the fading would remove his powers or DEUS would possibly return to him. Then Crash 2.0 hit and he knew that his situation was untenable. Anyone related to DEUS was being hunted down and his head was going to be next if he did not think fast, until a knock on his little apartment door went through. A man in a nice suit with a S-K name badge and guards flanking him came to him with a deal, to work for S-K as a guinea pig and help them understand technomancers more and inexchange he doesn’t lose his head. Lincoln gave S-K the name Bartimaeus to use for the SIN.

So Lincoln stayed as a test subject for S-K until 2075, eventually gaining their trust enough to attend a corp college, and eventually being able to have some freedom. Now with his handler Kowalski watching over him as he shadowruns to earn his fixer more information and money on the side. Lincoln, now took up the new name Argus as his shadowhandle. In exchange Argus gains far more freedom then someone like him would usually have. With Argus thinking over every moment on how to escape in the future, and what his future will be.
