Summary
A corporate due of Amelia and Emily Erlicht is broken up by a kidnapping that turns out to a bit more than just a kidnapping!
Background
Amelia and Emily are in Seattle doing business on behalf of their corporation when Emily suddenly goes missing. Suddenly Amelia is appalled... that she has to delay her return to Germany to try and save her sister. So, she calls Kon Kon to have the issue solved.
The Meet
The runners meet Kon Kon and Amelia at Kon's house, and then go over what happened. Emily was last seen in redmond at Kon's Cafe, but after the natural disaster of the nuclear fallout, Emily never returned to Amelia. As well, Amelia got a notice on her commlink to pay up 8K or Emily would get it bad. Some basic information gathering from the J leaves a bad taste in the mouth, but the team decides to just try and get the job done.
The Plan
The plan starts with some basic brainwork on the runners side, figuring some things out about the J and the situation. The J seems off, and the kidnappers seem... unskilled. The whole situation is fishy. Is Amelia paying to have Emily kidnapped? Is Emily kidnapping herself? Why, when they called to verify Emily's safety, did the kidnappers call 'him' 'Emile'? Either way, some stern talking to and persuasion later...
The Run
...finds the runners opting to just go and meet the kidnappers. With cash in hand and a will to make sure that Emile is alright, the runners enter the belly of the beast; an empty hotel filled with Halloweeners and of course, a boyish looking Emile. Upon the meet, the Kidnappers and Emile please to have the money or a fake sin to help Emile flee his sister. Turns out, Amelia was overly controlling and harsh towards Emile, not allowing him to transition. So, when he was able to make it to Seattle, Emile found a way to be kidnapped by Halloweeners to be taken to safety. Pleading to be let go, the duo decided to give money to and help find a fake sin for Emile, so he could start a new life in Seattle. Aftwards, they found a recently expired body to try and use it as proof of Emile's dissapearance.
Aftermath
Given the 'proof' of 'Emily's' disappearance, Amelia is glad that she no longer has to look for her sister and refuses to pay. Kon, feeling nothing but harsh and wretched thoughts towards Amelia, kicks Amelia out of Kon's house, and pays the runners double.
