Overview

Rex is a domestic cat who Awakened, with magical powers that have yet to be fully realized. He was originally owned by a geriatric Human woman named Martha, who made him miserable as her old age caused her to push his boundaries and not understand his cues. This misery caused him to Awaken while he was being catsitted by Martha's grandson (and member of SAMA), Ash. This resulted in the events that transpired in Cat Burglar. Now, he will go with any of his contacts on their escapades as a travelling companion (NOT PET) so he can see the world. He can telepathically communicate with anyone in his line of sight, letting him be able to "speak" without actually talking.

Personality

Rex is a vain, narcissistic feline. He believes he is superior to anyone and everyone he meets, not unless they do something spectacular to impress him. He's very blunt and unempathetic to strangers, though if they're genuinely emotional that facade will fall. People he grows close to (loyalty 2 or higher) will generally receive a "softer" version of him compared to his rough-and-tumble persona. He will admire any fellow daredevils who take risks for a greater reward (or just to look cool).

Voice

Rex has an abrasive, Bostonian accent when he telepathizes to people. Think of Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Powers

His magical aptitude has yet to be fully realized. He is telepathic of course, able to communicate clearly to anyone within line-of-sight. He is dual-natured, and thus is consistently able to see and interact with spirits. He can aid people who are summoning spirits or casting spells, but he cannot cast spells of his own accord (yet).

Cat Living in a Metahuman's World	Since he's a feline, his knowledge on the world of metahumans is limited at best. He will Glitch any Knowledge or Networking Checks unrelated to animals, shifters, or the Seattle Animal-Metahuman Alliance. The GM may provide an exception depending on the situation.

Travelling Companion	Rex, with the cost of a favor, will accompany anyone who asks for him at the start of a run. With the GM's permission, he may join a given run as an NPC to assist in skill checks. He may only travel in a run once a week IRL, so be sure that it doesn't overlap with a run he's recently gone on. Here is the list of checks he can assist in: Animal Handling, Etiquette, Negotiation, and Summoning. He has a Specialization for Felines (AH), Beast Spirits (Summoning), and Crazy Cat Ladies (Etiquette + Negotiation). The dice pool for each skill is 6 dice. He cannot assist in the summoning of a spirit higher than Force 3.
Charming Tom	Rex is a very adorable cat, which he uses to his advantage. He gains a +2 to Networking checks associated with those who have an affinity for felines (to GM's discretion).
Sugar Mama	Rex's previous owner, Martha, is a very wealthy woman. She is also a pushover. At the cost of a chip, he may contact her for the following: A loan of nuyen, a favor related to the Ares Corporation, or for the party to shelter inside her home. Anything else would be to GM's discretion.
