Exploring the dimly lit arcoblock, the team finds previous teams sent to fetch the same item as them, mauled to pieces. During their search, they also manage to bait a shardik stuck in the arcology into an ambush, disabling it before it mauls them like it did the previous team. They note a few sources of elevated radiation in the arcoblock as well as vats for genetic engineering that are possibly still active. Not wanting to test their luck, the team presses forward.
Finally reaching the offices, Eidolon rigs up an explosive charge with a propane tank to blow through the security door and they find a remote Ares research outpost. After an initial gunfight, the team has to retreat and resorts to diplomacy with the commanding officer. He's willing to sabotage some of the briefcase's contents in exchange for letting the team take it. Not having any loyalty towards a kidnapping J, the team agrees.

Fortunately, escaping the arcology is easier with a submarine that picks them up autonomously and disables their collars. All three runners go to a little boathouse the Ares officer mentioned to them, recovering their gear and taking a boatride back to Seattle. The Johnson gets their briefcase -- whether they realize the double-cross or not is another story.

Summary

Runners get bagged and dropped into a sunken arcology to fetch lost intel. They succeed even with limited supplies.

The Meet

The runners wake up in a diving bell, naked and lacking any protection. Pitch black, a brief trid screen opens on a projector explaining their current situation. They're fitted with tracker collars that the mysterious J claims will ensure their demise if they're spotted emerging without the item of choice: a briefcase containing sensitive information that was dumped in the arcology some time prior.

The Plan

Having literally no options, the team puts on the diving suits they have access to, ties the team to one another and manages to get the diving bell to open; thankfully they're not too far from the coast so the pressure doesn't kill them immediately. They manage to get to an airlock in the arcology and open it to get inside. They suffer from cold and a lack of equipment, but Thistle's arms are weapons in and of themselves so they have at least some power there. Their plan is to explore, head towards the part of the arcology where the briefcase is expected to be and then get in touch with the employer for an escape route.
