Character Information

Summary

Colcannon is a Boston Irish gangster displaced to the Barrens, and she wears a huge chip on her shoulder about it. A big, muscly Fomori covered in ink, she strikes an intimidating, memorable figure, and she's willing to pick a fight if someone feels a need to make it their problem.

Goals

Get mom out of Boston, Make a name for herself, and make a bunch of money. Find and kill the fraggers that massacred her gang and nearly killed her.

Background

Colcannon grew up on the mean streets of the Rox, doing dumb crimes and fighting other ganger kids. Eventually it got bad enough that her mom, to send her out west to live with her aunt. She moved to her aunt's place in the Ork Underground, and got caught back up in the shit. She started working as a bodyguard for the local gang, who learned to appreciate her talents when she killed the troll door guard with her hands. She spent the next few years henching to modearate sucess, but it came crashing down a month ago in a shootout that she barely survived, rescued by a passerby who would change her life. A wared-out hobo, or so it appeared, pulled her limp body from the stoop she was bleeding out on, and patched her back up. He hooked her up with an apartment above a bar, and a job downstairs. He also showed her how to get into contact with his old fixer, The Florist, if she wanted work that might at least pay enough to die for. Then he disappeared, back into the Sprawl. Colcannon spent a month doing petty runs for folks the Florist contracted her out to, mostly shakedowns that required a more capable than average goon. She also picked up some work with Handy Andy in the Ass End, delivering a weapons shipment that required some extra muscle, and with Auntie Amelia, helping to find a crate of tea that had gone missing. One morning, she awoke to a bouquet of origami flowers on the front step of her shitty second story apartment, with a commcode written neatly on a small tag. That commcode brought her into a private network of elite runners, the Shadow Haven.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

Barrens Rat - She grew up in Boston, but has spent the last ten years in the muck of Seattle. She knows the Barrens like a local, but she'd hit you if you said that. Nasty Trog - She's not the biggest lass, but her vibe is so intense the air crackles when she gets angry. Mentor Spirit (Thunderbird) - She's all smiles and laughs, until someone crosses the line. Usually, it's something about her, but her hometown, her mother, and anyone she likes are also great ways to get her dander up.

Negative

Distinctive Style - She's 7 feet tall, tatted up, and her energy is unmistakable. You couldn't forget her if you wanted. Bad Credit - Colcannon grew up poor, and never really got around to learning good financial sense, what with all the mugging and robbery. Driven (Bring Mom Out West) - Colcannon wants to get to a place where she can move her mom out to a nice house in the 'burbs. Sensitive System - She's always felt the mana of the world more deeply than other mage's around her, but mostly it makes her sneeze a lot.

She's rarely caught wearing anything other than her favorite Boston Massacre jersey, or her swanky new Berwick suit and coat.
