Summary
Amidst the threat of yet another resurfacing of VITAS, a group of runners head in to intercept the shipment before it is too late. And... things happen... RIP Vory goons 1, 2, and 4
Background
A talented assassin by the name of Sypech had heard of a shipment of VITAS being shipped over towards the coasts of Seattle courtesy of a mysterious buyer. Having received all the intel he could muster, he calls forth a group of runners to stop its delivery before it is too late.
The Meet
Being summoned at around 2 in the afternoon, our group of runners meet near a cryptic and worn down house with a barricaded front door. After investigating the exterior and finding a fire escape ladder up towards a side window, the group of runners were greeted by the sight of a vory member strangled by a computer cord clumped over their own desk. Now armed and at the ready, the group investigated the house searching for whatever may be responsible, taking not too long to learn this was a Vory meet up spot for debt collection with all of the members dead. Finding a man unconscious in the tub almost ready to be dissected, they continued their search. Till finally they found the Johnson sitting in a room with 2 more beaten and killed Vory members. Informing them of how long it took them to find him upon their entry. After putting them at ease and informing them of the shipment of VITAS set to arrive in around 9-ish days. With sadly no details on which specific vessel it would arrive on. After receiving the intel the runners came to a quick agreement in terms of payment. Readying themselves for when the boat arrived.
The Plan
IRA3 being skilled with her usage and connection to the matrix decided to research into what shipment it may be. Dodging and maneuvering through the matrix to find which boat the shipment was set to arrive on. After databomb diffusions aplenty and pushing herself she was able to find the manifests of several ships. After some research she managed to find a ship in particular that caught her eye. Looking at what the ship was transporting she could not help but notice the large supply of Tuna weighing far less than what would usually expected she exited the matrix and informed the group of her discovery. With the target identified the runners called up a contact to help them get to the destination fast... while most of the runners were safe on their way to the docs, Geilrid had a bit of a... bumpy ride as the Taxi service summoned for them was far more bumpy than anticipated. Eventually arriving at the coastline all the runners entering an equally as bumpy sail voyage towards the vessel. Thankfully none of them had sea sickness as that would likely be their ultimate test if so.
The Run
Arriving at the side of the vessel the runners split up into two groups, Geilrid and IRA3 waited back on the boat while Blackhawk and Sephiroth led the main assault on deck against the Vory members. Ready to get the drop on them Blackhawk not taking into account how fragile the Vory members were in comparison to a Heavy Duty Sniper Rifle... ATTEMPTED to Stick n Shock the initial grunt only for the electrified bullet to end up fatal. Sephiroth however not caring about sparing their lives impaled the grunt before splitting them in twain. All the while Geilrid and IRA3 continued ground support boosting them via the Matrix and Magic respectively. After a failed break in attempt via Blackhawk Sephiroth opened the door with a sarcastic butler-like pose gesturing for him to enter. Rolling his eyes Blackhawk entered the room as the battle continued. After 1 thankfully non lethal and 2 more lethal interactions the runners emerged victorious.
Aftermath
After the Vory had been dealt with Sephiroth and Blackhawk searched the cargo hold for wherever the dangerous shipment may be. Sephiroth using his ring was able to sniff out and located the shipment buried inside the cut open Tuna fishes guts. The deadly toxins in metal and glass containers with the simple instructions being to throw them then run for the hills. Not exactly the best method of containing a disease that once killed billions. After wrapping them safely in an abundance of newspaper and Blackhawk extracting every other illegal good hidden inside the fish the two headed out after Blackhawk checked on the crew to ensure they were fine and would be safe entering port. The runners set off back to port after ensuring their getaway driver would drive safely. Some calls regarding the goods later the runners had arrived. Sypech along with 3 people all in hazmat suits ready to extract the package. After several layers of protection and cases the VITAS was safely retrieved and the runners got their deserved pay and then some thanks to Sephiroth.
