Overview
The man the Woiwurrung came to call Neon Nate comes from Canberra and doesn't speak much of his past. It's known the gruff bounty hunter has no love for Renraku, Shiawase and Fear the Dark. The megacorporations are easily explained: they meddle with ANZAC's largest member. The former owns an R&D center in Cairns and a rocket launch facility in Normanton, Cape York Peninsula, mining for and otherwise attempting to extract uranium. The latter is to be "thanked" for the attempted "greening" (read: conversion to agricultural land while destroying the unique ecosystem) of Great Victoria Desert.
Why Fear the Dark though? Because in 2083, he was hunting Archer Kidman, a notorious higher-up in the organization with a shiny bounty on his head to Ngannelong, also known as Hanging Rock, on the Woiwurrung lands. The vampire toyed with him, tormenting him while always staying a few steps ahead. A smaller mana surge storm in the area left Neon Nate barely alive, with his bounty vanishing without a trace. Without Linjah Yernilgurrawa, a local trapper tribesman, he would have died for sure. He was taken to them and nursed back to health. When feeling better, he stayed - still an outsider, but friends with Linjah.
Things crashed again as summer 2084 began. Kidman returned to Ngannelong and brought friends. Worse, Linjah was dragged away and his body, drained of all blood, displayed on the rocks. The area is off-limits to the Woiwurrung due to the instability of the astral and unsolved mysteries like disappearances in the vicinity, so Nate's pleas to go after the murderers went unheeded. Without Linjah, it's best for him to leave Australia entirely. But he will avenge his deceased friend even if it's the last thing he attempts.

Anti-Shiawase Atomics | He believes Australia has enough problems without Shiawase playing with fire on the land. Treat his Loyalty as two lower if you have a positive rep with the corporation (not just Shiawase Atomics). If this would drop Loyalty below 1, you cannot take him as a contact. If you develop a positive rep with those circles after buying him, he isn't lost, but clams up and ignores you until you change your bedfellows. |
Bounty Hunter | He takes his bounties very seriously. It only strengthened after Linjah's death - he believes he honors his deceased friend this way. When on a job related to claiming a bounty or another such errand, he receives +2. |
Sharpshooter | He's got a talent for anything you can shoot. Tests of any skill in the Firearms skill group as well as Archery are made at +2. At Loyalty 2+, he can even become a sensei for these. |
Stealthy | He knows how to move quietly through the bush, but he was an urban predator before. All Stealth skill group tests are at +2. |
Mick Dundee Is My Mentor Spirit | Neon Nate adores Aussie books and trids. He binges everything from Joan Lindsay to "Crocodile Dundee" movies. You could say Mick is his mentor spirit. Regardless of the grounding of that in science, in the wilderness, he receives +2 to tests of Stealth, Athletics and Outdoors. |
The Dreaming | He's a sucker for all kinds of Aboriginal cultural, historical and mythical lore. It even includes their magic and artifacts. Tests related to that as well as any artifacts on Australian soil (including people involved) are at +2. |
Knowledgeable Craft | He's able to talk about what he does well - bounty hunting, the bush of the Australian outback and who/what haunts it, the local underworld (Aussie things in general) receive +2 to the knowledge test. |
