Overview

Sebastian “Perfect Fit” Schmidt is a Horizon corp-cit and Head of Wardrobe for Horizon Studios. He’s Horizon’s go-to to make and procure costumes and uniforms for their simsense productions. Because simsense is so immediate and highly sensory, Horizon pays good money for Sebastian to buy real armors and equipment for the simsense flicks…when you’re experiencing it as if you were there, facsimiles just don’t cut it.

Because of this operational need, Sebastian can get his hands on almost anything, if given enough time. And he’s more than happy to help create indistinguishable forgeries of uniforms and other equipment for you, too. For the verisimilitude of the theater! You…are putting on an amateur production Off-Broadway, aren’t you?

Aspects Description

Aspect Description
Blissfully Unaware Sebastian doesn’t think that their contacts are runners and doesn’t understand the whole runner thing. He thinks you just need help with costuming for an amateur production or an indie simsense film! If he finds out you are a runner, immediately make a Test of Loyalty. If you fail the Test of Loyalty, he will think you are a terrorist, burn you and contact law enforcement. If you succeed in a Test of Loyalty, he will be willing to listen to you explain yourself and even help you leave the runner's life. You may be able to convince him to associate with the shadows. Contact a GM or Thematics if this happens as it may involve the removal of that tag.
Overworked Horizon prints out trid and simsense flicks like they’re printing nuyen (and, well, they are!) Because of his busy schedule Sebastian’s services may take longer. Every time Sebastian provides a service, roll 2D6. The normal amount of time that it would take to provide the service is multiplied by the resulting number.
Pre-Production Blues Sebastian will sell you legal gear and restricted gear, assuming you have the appropriate licenses. When it comes to forbidden gear, like high-quality forged uniforms…Sebastian is going to take some convincing. Characters will need to make one of two Social Tests to convince him to send illegal gear your way: Con (Threshold 3) to spin a yarn about how they need a convincing facsimile for a theater or indie trid film project, or Performance (Threshold 2) to sing or monologue a few lines from the “production”!
Above Aspect pending approval. Please notify Thematics.
Tailor Made Sebastian dreams in design. Fashion, costume design…these are his arts, not his job. Nothing makes him happier than creating a beautiful vision of fabric and buttons. (+2 dice to all tests involving clothing, armors, costumes, and uniforms)
Theatrical Flourish Horizon Studios is a dream job for Sebastian. Sure, he is terribly overworked, but it is hard to call it work when he gets to play in his favorite medium. And they pay him well, what a bonus! For trid productions, where simsense verisimilitude is not a concern, Sebastian gets to make old-fashioned costumes out of whole cloth. (+2 dice to all tests involving theatrical disguises, clothing, and makeup)
Apprenticed At Armani Sebastian has been living and dreaming fashion since he was a wee lad. As a youth he spent summers in Milan and winters on Savile Row. He doesn’t just have a knack for costumes: he has an eye for high fashion. (+2 dice to all tests involving high fashion clothing and high fashion armors)
Simsense Procurement Unlike trid flicks, simsense has you right there in the moment. When the star looks at the loose threads on a hemline, you see the same threads. When the star runs their hands across the fabric, you feel that silk. When the star rips open the bodice, you feel the fabric rip and tear beneath your fingers. Verisimilitude is paramount; Sebastian delivers the real thing. His procurement budget is legendary and the accountants at the studio don’t bother tracking his spending. And why should they? Look at his results. (+2 dice to all tests involving clothing, armor, and uniforms over 2,000 nuyen in base cost)
Stunt Design In both trid production and in simsense action flicks, casts are often subjected to real-life dangers in their pursuit of dangerous spectacle. And for simsense action stars, there can be no stunt doubles: they have to go through the perils themselves. You don’t want your star to take a bullet to the gut, or have their armor catch fire…the armor modifications need to be real, and of the absolute highest quality. (+2 dice to all tests involving adding modifications to armor, or to armor with inherent modifications)
The Science of Dyeing Uniforms (armored or otherwise) need to be just-right for a simsense production. Nothing cheap or shoddy will do. While the average simsense user might not have ever seen a real Red Samurai on a trid before users have an innate feel for when the verisimilitude is off. Everything must be perfect. The difference between a Saeder-Krupp Prussian Blue and a Zeta-Imperial Chemical Turnbull’s Blue might seem imperceptible to you, but trust Sebastian: it is a big deal. (+2 dice to all tests involving the creation of fake uniforms for extant A, AA, and AAA corporations)
Representation Matters Sebastian loves the theater, trid, and simsense. His eyes glitter as much as anyone’s when he sees a mega-star. He’s never had the talent or desire to be an actor himself but deep down, he’s pained by the knowledge that people like him are almost never big names on the stage or silver screen. Dwarves have never been the “it” meta. Elves have their unearthly grace, orks their rough-and-tumble edge, and trolls their monstrousness. What does the poor dwarf have? Nothing. Sebastian’s kind are overlooked, literally and socially. So when the opportunity comes to assist a fellow dwarf in the arts? To help a dwarf carve out a place in the arts world? Sebastian’s heart soars. A fellow dwarf gets all his attention and priority. (+2 dice to all tests for dwarf characters, regardless of request or type of service, and the time penalty from the Overworked Negative quality does not apply.)
