Summary

Three runners steal a fridge for an AI to live in. Somehow a go-gang gets dragged into the mix.

Background

A few months ago, Trideo microcelebrity Richardson Nash owned a one-of-a-kind SOTA refrigerator, which had been a gift for him from Horizon after he signed on.

The Meet

The runners were invited to a VR chatroom/cafe for the meet. The Johnson outlined the job: stealing a specific fridge from a certain celebrity. The J's cover story of being a "collector" was immediately seen through by the team, who sensed desperation on the J's part to get this SOTA fridge--desperation that could only be born of a Persnickety Renter-afflicted AI forced to upgrade to a higher-tech fridge to compensate for increasing Depth. With this in mind the team was able to squeeze Mr. Johnson for all his spare funds. The team was given a week to perform the job, and were asked to not kill anyone along the way.

After the virtual meet, the team met up in meatspace at [The Daze] to plan the job.

The Plan

After some searches, the runners dug up Richardson Nash's schedule and determined that he would be out of the house for most of the day during the following workweek. Wanting to avoid a violent confrontation with a celebrity and hoping that part of his security detail would follow the man, the team resolved to steal the fridge while Nash was out of the house.

The fridge was located in a house in Bellevue, so the runners had to figure out an entry and exit plan. They had a van to carry the fridge, but wanted an ironclad exit strategy in case they incurred heat during the job. Knowledge of smuggler routes turned up a conspicuous lack of OU entrances near Bellevue, but [Psyche] remembered that the 405 freeway is frequented by the 405 Hellhounds gang, whose rampages can draw Knight Errant attention away from the rest of the highway. It was decided that the runners would instigate a go-gang incident with Knight Errant timed to coincide with their
