Summary
Background
A Sami shaman leading efforts to rehabilitate reindeer pastures and migration routes is in conflict with Norse Godi/Runemaster with fisheries interests and corp affiliation. The situation is complicated by a third faction (tourism). The leaders of the three factions not only have different goals but suffer from a historical legacy. The ancestors of all three belonged to the cult led by Wednesday before he met Friday and created Winternight. Tempest is instructed by an avatar spirit of Thor to resolve the conflict by the new moon. Tempest is faced with competing values. Her choices are the test.
The Meet
Tempest was awakened by strange sounds from the kitchen area. In her kitchen she found a spirit rummaging through her cabinets...a spirit she'd seen in her dreams two nights before. The Avatar Spirit of Thor told tempest that he had a task for her. He explained that two of the factions on Mageroya Island in Norway were in conflict, Her task was to resolve the conflict by the new Moon. When Tempest accepted the spirit opened the cask of mead he'd brought while Tempest prepared a gustatory marvel.
The Plan
Travel
Tempest wants to get to Norway fast and to have her customized hearse for local travel. She calls her contact Jet Set to arrange round trip use of the Galaxy for two chips. Upon her arrival in Bergen she is warned that overland travel through the Norwegian interior is hazardous. As luck would have it the nine hour drive to Mageroya island is uneventful.
Legwork
Tempest decides to do actual travel and talking to people as the primary method of getting information. The owners of the bed & breakfast in Gjesvær was a trove of background information. Her interaction with Sara, the Sami shaman, was informative but hardly unbiased. Similarly, her interaction with Trond Ericson is informative but colored by different biases. The meeting with Eric Dahl showed that the tourism industry was significantly independent from both the fisheries and the reindeer. Moreover, Dahl did not have the same toxic family history as the other two.
Tempest did gain valuable information through her network of contacts; Mint connected her to an academic in Bergen who conducted a quick analysis of the economic impact of the infrastructure plan for the fisheries. There is a workable option for all factions to with with political side payments but all three factions must join forces. Kyra Samaras gave advice on how to remove trond and get cooperation from the Seer in exchange for a chip - a seminar on 'assassination and strategic disruption'. The TechnoRATS contributed by hacking Trond's commlink for the day 4 destination allowing Tempest to set an ambush along the road.

The Run
Part One
Tempest decides that one of the infrastructure options outlined by her contact (strategically located tunnels to aid safe migration) will satisfy all factions but won't work because of the toxic relationship between Sara and Trond. Tempest decides to kill Trond and hoodwink the Seer when she takes over. After several days of furtive astral surveillance of Trond Ericson, Tempest has learned that Trond's assistant is a Seer that has had a vision of Tempest as a a potential problem, and that Trond has an intimate relationship with the Seer. The assassination should be conducted in a way unlikely to be connected to a 'known problem'. Tempest chose an isolated spot along the E69 highway roughly midway between Nordkapp and the Skarsvag turnoff. The site had a large but movable rock to block one lane and a close by outcropping to provide concealment. Tempest's first strike with her claymore put a gash in the vehicle from roof to road one meter deep. This both smashed the door and disabled the vehicle. Her second strike killed the rigger driving the vehicle. After brazenly absorbing a lightning bolt from Trond, she disabled him. Tempest lugged Trond outside, got him conscious and fed in an obvious and stereotypical manner. After pushing the car off the road she hiked back to her lodgings in Skarsvag and started watching the news.
After seeing reporting on the gruesome murder on the trid, Tempest sets off to see Sara and try to convince her to agree to the new plan. After successfully feigning concern over the murder gets lukewarm agreement. Tempest then drives to the fisheries office to meet the new head. Tempest is confident of two things - the Seer will assense her and her masking will keep her true nature concealed. She's right on both. Nonetheless, her hostility never goes away. After some good bargaining Tempest gets the following deal: Tempest leaves and never returns. If Eric Dahl agrees to the new plan, she will as well.
Tempest then drives to the North Cape (passing by the site of the murder) to meet with the tourism representative. Eric likes positive sum solutions so his agreement comes quickly.
Aftermath
All of the observing avatar spirits are pleased albeit to varying degrees. Thor is most pleased, Freya least, closely followed by Reindeer.
