Summary
Axe murderer. Well, maybe a bit less crass than that. But she has an axe and she's not shy about murder. Bloodletter's a worrisome sort, a touch paranoid as runners come, and tries to play up the fearsome and inhumane angle just to get other people off her back. Bloodletter is a little more wise than she lets on, though. She plays her cards close to her chest, but if you get to know her she's quite a spiritual individual, who practices meditation and personal temperance.
Goals
- Food. That means flesh.
- Get chemsealed gear so other people don't have to constantly worry about my sweat and tears.
- Master the art of Hapsum-Do.
- Bring down at least one relatively-big spirit with her axe as a mark of personal triumph.
Background
Once upon a time, an actual firefighter. Real name Theresa Claville. Unfortunately for her, firefighter gear ain't combat rated, so when some freak's pet feral ghoul got loose in a burning building that she was helping clear out, it didn't really stop the bite. Ghouls don't make for good fire team rescuers. Fired, ostracized, real SIN burnt to a crisp in short order because UCAS does not recognize ghoul citizenship. But hey.. she knows how to work an axe, and has a good sense for danger. The running business is a good source of meat, too. Learning to live as an infected has changed her way of life dramatically. Few people trust you, fewer still want to spend a minute in arm's reach. First she took to alcohol to drown her problems, but.. It didn't help so much. "Bloodletter" then turned to meditation, then to spiritual martial arts and zen archery, but while this eased her heart, her stomach continues to be hungering for human flesh. So, her situation remains complicated.
Narrative Significant Qualities
- Infected: Ghoul: There's no two ways around it. She's a monster, and you're meat.
- Distinctive Style: That axe is custom made, engraved with a gaudy-ass skull design, and she makes no attempt at hiding it. She also is very distinct in her aggressive demeanor, making petty, empty threats about eating people.
- The Goat: Easy to blame. Doesn't make friends easily. Bloodletter is often first to be betrayed. She expects it at this point.

Appearance
Bloodletter looks pretty average, but only because she's put in a lot of work for her appearance. Strawberry pink hair and eyes a strange amber, reasonably fit and tall for a lady. Beneath the synthskin, the smartwig, and the various masks, she's at least some part the ravenous zombie you'd expect from a ghoul. But she's not nearly so gruff as she acts, and the "I'll eat your skin" act is mostly to keep people far enough that they don't get infected too.
Clothing
Heavily clad in treated synthleather, dyed red. Wears a respirator off runs and a full face combat mask on runs. Generally tries to keep herself wrapped up and keep exposure to both other people and sunlight to a minimum. You know the drill.
