Background
Kelly grew up in the Barrens, getting her first taste of violence at the age of 10 when she joined up with the crowd one Halloween night. She isn't exactly sure what happened that night but she woke up with her first chainsaw. She was hesitant at first but when it kept the gangers away, she happily held onto it. Around that age, she also fell in love with Urban Brawl and made her mind up to one day become a top player. When she was 16, she managed to lie her way into tryouts for a smaller team. With nothing else to focus on her efforts on, she passed tryouts and soon began training. The team was her everything and as she kept playing, and got more ware to support that, she began to get more violent. She traded her normal chainsaw for a monowire one and became a person to fear on the field. This combination of things started her team winning a little too much for some of the people pulling the strings. They hired a hit squad to ambush her team. It was a slaughter. She barely survived on her own due to a pressure induced Awakening. Alone, her mentor arrived to her. A pale white mare with a red stained muzzle. She spoke in Kelly's mind, introducing herself as Deinos and thus began Secretariat and her downward spiral into insanity. Recently though, The Weekender, who she met one Halloween night, has redirected her towards the Haven and the promise of another team has so far halted the spiral. Why The Weekender did this we can only speculate, but now Secretariat is here.
Narrative Significant Qualities
Positive
- Mentor Spirit (Horse): Secretariat isn't exactly sure where Deinos came from and a bit of looking into mentor spirits doesn't help. While she doesn't know what from, she has this nagging feeling that she's seen this horse before on the trids.
- Redliner: Trying to be the best requires the best but if you want to really stand out, you have to go beyond what they tell you is possible.
Negative
- Combat Junkie and PSC: Under the influence of Deinos, Secretariat has gotten quite violent, trying to recreate that euphoric rush of freedom her first Halloween brought her.
- Lack of Focus: When you're made to move and fight, it's really hard to sit still, like, REALLY hard.
- Superhuman Psychosis: Of course she's better than everyone else, she made herself that way. She wishes it wasn't this way though, it's not fun killing everyone you spar with.
- Unsteady Hands: A symptom of her declining mental state, her hands have started to shake after fights. She doesn't think anything of it though, brushing it off as adrenaline.
