Overview

Trip Softly owns The Crystal Method, a new-age bookstore and magick shop near U-Dub. A chill, lanky human in his twenties, Trip is mundane, and most of his wares are as well. However, he actually comes from money, and the shop is just a front to indulge his genuine fascination in the metaplanes. To those who share in that fascination, he opens his backroom and his contacts, eager to trade power for knowledge and knowledge for power.

Aspects Description

Talismonger - The Crystal Method is full of a bunch of "magickal" junk, but Trip does zealously hoard items of real power.

Foci - Trip is especially interested in artifacts, even if he is unable to use them himself, being mundane. What contacts he has in the magical community tend to be artificers, and he collects foci like others would collect art.

Planar Magic - The metaplanes are an area of interest to Trip, and he is well-read on them. Given his resources, he has even dabbled in metaplanar exploration himself, with contracted spiritual guides and a little chemical assistance.

Altered States - Having experimented as with as many altered states of consciousness as he could imagine (and he's got a good imagination), Trip is acquainted with pretty much all of them -- and will happily share his experiences, or help you experience them for yourself! If you need something like a dose of Shade, an Olfactory Booster, or a quick exorcism, he can probably arrange it.

Wealth and Privilege - Trip tries to hide it, but his bookstore is definitely not a profitable operation, even discounting his expensive hobby of collecting artifacts. To those in his inner circle, Trip may be able to offer insight on, or even introductions to, the rich and famous.

Hard to Reach - He is privately bored of society, but cannot disengage from it. If Trip fails a contact availability roll, it's very likely he is attending to the needs of his position.
