Summary

An intellectual with near non-existant physical capabilities due to extended amount of time in the lab and being sickly, 4NTHR4X deploys poisons, explosives, and his logical mind to resolve most situations, and flexible enough to be capable to handle most situations thrown at him.

Goals

-To leave a mark in shadowrunner history. How? No idea. But somehow.

-To get back at the corporation that burned him and refused him his worker's compensation

Background

4NTHR4X had a cozy beginning. Not long after graduating from the local college, he found a job with Universal Omnitech as an intern at the pharmaseutical department in developing drugs, medicine and chemicals. He was living the dream of his parents, working a safe and secure job for megacorporations, earning a good income and slowly climbing ranks to be supervisor and team leader of the pharmaseutical research branch. Things were only looking up for him as he worked, though things would not last long, unbeknownst to him.

An unfortunate incident involving a chief pharmacist with solid backers, some cheap drugs and volatile chemicals would be the one that caused 4NTHR4X to hit rock bottom. The resulting toxic fumes damaged his lungs badly, causing his lungs to be unable to take in oxygen effectively. The incident was considered to be an "accident" by the corpo higher ups, and the chief pharmacist pinned the blame chiefly on 4NTHR4X, causing him to be burnt abruptly, and saddling him with a huge medical bill. Worst still, years of working with a wide variety of chemicals, activated by the concoction of toxic fumes, had a cascading effect on his body, causing many chronic illnesses that would be too expensive to be treated, and also expensive to maintain ongoing treatment. His savings dwindling, and unable to get worker's compensation from Universal Omnitech in regards to the incident as he was deemed the one who caused the incident in the first place, 4NTHR4X had no choice but to turn to shadowrunning to make ends meet, chiefly to fill prescription medications and the life-support he is now dependant to live day by day. In turn, he turned his great intellect and experience in pharmaseuticals and chemistry to make poisons and explosives. Thus begins 4NTHR4X's forey into the world of shadowrunners.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

College Education: Having received a college education, 4NTHR4X had his beginnings as a corporate drug and pharmaseutical researcher. His education still served him well in his days as a runner.

Drug Tolerant: While the toxins and chemicals he was exposed to worsened his health, the upside is that drugs now are less addictive to him. If only the medicines are also not affected....

Poisoner: As medicine can heal, the very same chemicals when applied in a different situation, dose and mixture, can become potent and dangerous poisons.

Quick Healer: His frequent visits to the hospital as well as having experience in the field of pharmaseuticals makes him a decent healer in a pinch, though without the proper facilities, there's only so much he can do. He might be able to staunch a bleeding wound, just don't expect him to stitch a lopped off arm.

Skillsoft Adaptation: Mind and skillsoft. Intellectual meets a near unlimited world of downloadable knowledge. What else can be said?

Negative

Allergy (Common, Moderate) (Unfiltered Oxygen): His lungs now nearly entirely compromised due to the toxic fume incident, 4NTHR4X can't breathe properly without his respirator, and almost immediately goes into anaphylactic shock once deprived of it, and hence he always wears his respirator. Never take it off.

Illness 3: Already frail as a person, the amount of chemicals latent in his body from his job, activated by the cocktail of toxic fumes, 4NTHR4X's body spiraled into a breakdown, giving him multiple chronic illnesses that currently is too expensive to cure outright.
