Summary
Sometimes on the way to the top, family has to get competitive. Sometimes that means tattling, or making them stay up late, or taking their homework.
Or killing them.
A hit's nothing too unknown in this line of work. It's probably for the best that Mangione dies tonight. A quick, clean kill is what's best. Just gotta make it look pretty. Easy, right?
Background
Connoway's been making moves for a while now. Keep the family moving, get rid of what's in his way, make more and more progress to the top. That means that Marco Mangione of the Gianelli family is next. It was nothing personal really, this is just business. The man was a musician, did jazz and made a lot of business for himself the normal way and the mafia way. Snubbed out less popular talent, pushed out the bigger ones, had a daughter who was a skilled pianist, music was his passion and he didn't let anything get in his way for it. A damn shame that this was the best way to get moving. At the very least, his wife and daughter were at a recital. And Marco had a rehearsal in his mansion. It'd be a good chance to get rid of him. Just business, buddy.
The Meet
Quinn brought the runners to a tea shop in downtown, wanted them dressed casually so they could blend in. Making this not look like a mob hit was imperative. Tsarina arrived first, followed by Exodus and Roadkill, and then finally Renato, all disguised or at least not looking professional. Pretending to be friends having a lovely reunion, Connoway filled the runners in: kill the man tonight, try to not make it look like a mafia hit. Renato was very vocal about his distaste for all involved, but Quinn was more amused than threatened. Tsarina managed to tie a nice bonus to making that kill look unaffiliated, along with half the budget up front just in case, and then Connoway agreed. He gave them an address, a face, and a name, and the team got to work.
The Plan
Regrouping in a coffee shop elsewhere the team got to work strategizing. Marco wouldn't be expecting guests, so they settled on trying to find an angle to sneak up on him physically rather than socially. Tsarina was fairly confident that she could get the guards distracted as a groupie and that the others would have an opening to get in, but she wanted to know just in case. The team seemed fairly confident in their skills as they filled her in (Renato even got a partially accurate read on the woman which was...risky to try but amused her in what he gathered), and with that she firmly placed the three of them on assassination duty. Exodus got rough floor plans to the place, and Tsarina worked with Renato and Roadkill to get information on other misdeeds Marco committed to serve as cover, settling on using a musician he allegedly snubbed named Castro for the job. They'd go in, make the kill, do their best to make it look like vigilantism for a dead musician, and get out. Roadkill had a good getaway vehicle, Exodus had a bike, and Tsarina wouldn't be directly implicated so she could get away naturally. They got disguised and made their way over.
The Run
Infiltration went smoothly enough. Tsarina, disguised as an annoying fangirl, made herself a right nuisance for the guards up front and kept their attention as the others slipped by and to the side to reach the windows. Exodus unlocked windows on the first and second floor, with her taking the second and the others taking the first. Exodus snuck around to reach a bathroom near the rehearsal, finding Mangione and more frustratingly his guards. Renato and Roadkill were setting up below, finding a guard right next to the door to the room they were hiding in. Roadkill tried to prick him with a narcojet needle in his hand. The guard noticed, dodged, and soon a fight broke out. First Renato beat his ass, then Roadkill unloaded six rounds into him.
The music stopped.
Tsarina did her best to mislead and delay the guards out front a little longer, but Exodus had to rush in, kill the man with a monowhip and executing double tap, and then the team bolted for the getaways. Roadkill threw a grenade as a parting gift, Exodus drove off on her bike, and Renato and Roadkill had a brief car chase with a police vehicle but managed to break away and head for a safehouse in Bellevue, and the guilty party managed to avoid the HTR response.
Tsarina considered sticking around to feed her story to the public, but that risked herself being exposed a little too much to the public eye. So she put her faith in what the team did and made her exit, disappearing into the crowd.
Aftermath
The team managed to safely meet back up with Connoway, who...gave them partial credit. They tried their best to throw cover on it all but...a monowhip and a grenade is way too prepared for "garden variety thug", and people might go looking.
Still, it's something. They got 2k instead rather than 5k, and aren't going to talk to each other while the heat dies down.
But at least there's no more loose ends, right?

"Hmm. Dunno how much of a problem this crew was for me. At the very least the read wasn't totally right, he isn't as good at context clues as he thinks he is. Still...maybe I should have had him laes'd regardless. Hopefully he doesn't talk too much on this."
