Kevin Crimes has a job. It gets messy.
Background
Kevin Crimes always has his fingers in many pies. One of his pies (a bunch of expensive loot) got away and he wants it retrieved. He brings in some capable Cutters and a couple of runners for plausible deniability.
The Meet
Kevin Crimes has a job. A couple of cherry picked Cutters hitmen meet up with a pair of capable runners from the Shadowhaven at a Cutters’ dive in Kingsgate. The job is simple: retrieve some gear from a rival gang, the Fircrist Surgeons.
The Plan
The team decides to steal a truck, drive to the warehouse, and take the goods by any means possible.
The Run
As the run begins proper, the team seeks a vehicle for carrying 12 crates of gear. The Librarian finds a number of likely trucks in the area and successfully hacks “Da Junkmobeel.” The team approaches it, a simple SK LT-21 Delivery Truck, and the Librarian puppeteers the vehicle.
The team decides to cross into Redmond by driving through the river to avoid police checkpoints. It goes smoothly, but the team gets wet and spends roughly an hour washing the truck and cleaning their clothes.
The team then approaches the warehouse, and decides to create disguises. Lichtenberg, eager to stab someone, finds a homeless person and beheads him for his cardboard home. A rudimentary cardboard box disguise is attempted, but quickly discarded as it is not convincing.
Eventually Pockets and Exodus decide to approach the warehouse in the delivery van to deliver a package. The package is somewhat clumsily forged with a name and an address. Meanwhile The Librarian hacks the devices in the area, providing matrix overwatch and significant details of the area. Lichtenberg enters the shadows, climbing to the rooftops, and Pockets urges the team to hurry the operation along quickly.
Exodus greets one of the gangers and explains,”We are delivery people with a package that needs to be signed for.” The ganger refuses to play along and pulls a knife. Exodus pulls a monowire. A spirit appears. Pockets pulls a revolver. Lichtenberg starts running from the nearby building.
Battle breaks out. Lichtenberg struggles with a spirit but quickly overcomes it. The rival gangers withdraw into the building, and Exodus and Lichtenberg press the attack. Several Gangers die in the warehouse, but while the battle plays out the Librarian gets brain-fried in the matrix. Another fire spirit appears and begins attacking Pockets, who runs away. Leaving only Lichtenberg and Exodus in the warehouse, with the sliding doors closed and all of the windows barred.
Lichtenberg and Exodus proceed to fight a bloody battle, taking many wounds. Lichtenberg gets engulfed by a fiery blade spirit and it seems that death is inevitable, but Exodus is able to take out the summoning mage with a well placed shot. The two help each other out of the basement of the warehouse, covered in blood, most of which is their own.
Pockets heals Librarian then returns to the warehouse with the delivery truck. Lichtenberg scours the entire facility looking for more people to kill. Exodus identifies the goods and finds additional loot as well. Together the team loads the truck and gets out. The team checks out the additional goods, which turn out to be organs.
On further inspection, the organs belong to Black Chrysanthemum. Kevin Crimes gets spooked and tells the team to return the organs, dump the van, and lay low. The team decides to follow this advice. The team gets paid and the Cutters are happy.
Aftermath
Camera footage is released and a bounty issued by Black Chrysanthemum. Everyone but Lichtenberg had a disguise or was off site, but BC are searching for the crew that hit them.
