Summary
Hextech brings Trades into a meeting place in the Barrens where she pitches a job to steal several drones from a facility located in the pacific. Trades taps her contacts in order to help herself cover shortcomings in her abilities. She's able to put together a plan by tapping Wusan and Norville to aid her infiltration. From there she does some personal scouting on the matrix before she's told that it's go time. She successfully infiltrates and exfiltrates the island with the non-Juggernaught drones in tow.
Background
Hextech has reached out to Heward Smith in order to offer Trades an opportunity to further their skills as a machinist. She's caught wind of a shipment of drones for the Disassemblers as well as a Juggernaught being brought in for the Cutters that she'd like to prevent from arriving.
The Meet
Heward contacts Trades telling her that he’s heard of an opportunity to do some work for someone. Trades heads into the barrens to meet a white-haired woman who has several big, troll-sized anthrodrones and a helicopter. The J checks whether Trades would be alright with striking against the Disassemblers. Trades is amenable to doing that, and she agrees to steal several drones that the Disassemblers were planning to deploy in order to capture people for organ theft. Hextech also offers a potential side objective: Obtain a Juggernaught that was bound for the Cutters, and she'll make it worth their while.
The Plan
Afterwards, she departs while Trades begins working on the angles for her plan. She checks out the host and determines that its an R7 industrial host before evaluating other approaches. She considers sub-contracting other runners before eventually determining that she’d like to take a shot at it with the help of her contacts. She orders a chameleon suit and 100 drams of reagents from Norville and arranges to be loaned several RPC cloaks for the drones as well as some B&E tools. Norville is able to provide the reagents on short notice, but the infiltration gear will likely take longer. While Trades waits for those to be ready, she heads out to negotiate with Wusan. Upon her arrival, she is successfully able to gain his attention with an offering of the 100 drams of reagents, and from there they offer a deal, a rating 1 spirit marker in exchange for a future favor the next time she travels to the ocean on a job. Trades agrees, and Wusan summons a heavy fog bank to cover the island that she’ll be infiltrating. Next, she visits the host in order to do some basic scouting. She detects a few of the cameras, but she’s caught while hacking the third camera . Trades leaves the host and quickly checks the feed from the two cameras she MARKed and then performs a safe reboot in order to clear the host's MARK. She decides to take a break and give the host some time to cool down before she returns. An hour later, on her second visit, she’s able to quickly search for a map of the facility with locations labeled.
The Run
Before she manages to dig up any potential information about the location of the shipments, she receive the message that it was go time. She’s able to do a stealthy sweep with her flyspy in order to find a safe landing spot. Once she reaches the island, she disembarks her anthrodrone in order to start burying her UCC cable while she takes her boat further out into the fog to keep it hidden. Once the cable is successfully hidden, she enters the electronics storage. She is able to find all of the drones except for the Juggernaught, but they are stored in several clamps that are likely to make a racket when they are released. She quickly plugs on of the splits from her splitter cable into the Kenchiku-Kikai in order to Disable it's wireless system and command it to prepare to lower the others. She returns in her anthrodrone to the control booth where she begins lowering the drones down into the waiting arms of the Kenchiku-Kikai. Once they're all prepared she links all of the drones together, Hextech's datachip triggers some code that causes an epiphany in Trades. She feels her resonance reaching out to form a harmonic combination wherein her focus manages to split evenly between herself and all of the drones. She manages to move them together in a performance of stealth to her boat. With her primary objective accomplished, Trades takes her boat out into the fog before performing a cursory search of the island with her flyspy. She isn’t able to locate the Juggernaught inside the processing facility, and the underground garage presents too many difficulties in how she could break in. Her plan of running a UCC cable would likely run into trouble with either an elevator or stairs. The shorter length of the UCC cable would also force the boat closer to shore where the fog wouldn't cover it as well.
Aftermath
- Trades receives a mysterious data chip containing negative coordinates that lead into the Endless Archive in the Resonance Realms. Included in the data chip is an video that starts by looking at a video of the Simpsons before heading towards one of the shelves and working on a masterpiece melding dozens of autosofts together into the form of a growing network.
- Hextech didn't get a Jug Or Not.
- Disassemblers lost their incoming drones. Losers!
- Cutters got their Jugornot.

Trades
That was certainly an interesting mission. I feel like there's things that I'm missing here. If I was just able to manage to piece them together like when Hextech's datachip activated, then I think I'd finally be able to form a PAN. It still remains stubbornly beyond my grasp. I'm sure that I'm close to figuring it out. It just burns to know that I'd be able to help my team so much more if I was able to provide networked targeting support alongside being able to run things silently without having to jump into them.
