Background
Born and raised in Houston,Texas, Rusty lead quite a normal life. His parents were both Lone Star officers who pushed him through college, then academy and eventually to join them with Lone Star in Austin where he worked as both dispatch and a Security Spider for the AA Corp and at times even a officer if need be. This is where he got his alias, as most of the Lone Star cops called him "Houston" while he was an operator both because of where he was from and in reference to the popular line from NASA
Everything was going well as he was well on his way to a promotion for his work in the Corp. Though one day he went out on patrol with his father when some Patrol Officers had to drop out. Their squad car was attacked with explosives by Gangers, Houston and his father fought the Gangers back while awaiting backup, though sadly his father died when another explosive was thrown by a desparate Ganger. He needed immediate medical attention and had all of his damaged limbs replaced and paid for by his Father's will, but in a shocking twist was blamed for the attack so it could be covered up as an unfortunate accident rather than show the public that Lone Star could be so badly affected by Gangers. He's not quite gotten used to the Cyberware the doctors plugged into him, and has struggled with the change to his life both socially and mentally but is coming around to the idea of cold steel.
Houston hit a low point, with his Mother losing her job and any stream of revenue, his name bismirched across Austin and his father dead. He was contacted by one of the criminals he had come in contact with during his time as a beat cop who got him some local runs. Eventually he was picked up by a Haven Fixer, where he moved to Seattle to try use his skills to care for his Mother.
